    I think the Xperia U is cheaper at Kmart. Check out their latest catalogue, lists it as $129. Ends on the 12th of Dec though.

      Locked to Telstra, would cost an extra $100 to unlock. But yeah, the price of $178 is very average, considering that Crazy Johns were selling at this price, unlocked, since launch date.

    Bugger! Got in quick and bought the Xperia S with the free shipping code as it wasn't listed in the $30 off list (I'm a dumbarse for not just trying the code anywho - and I know it was cheaper a few months back, my phone hadn't passed on at that stage. Can't wait with no phone for the nexus 4 to be re-stocked).

          Eh, the rep has been reading the comments and isn't doing anything to fix this problem, so I've reported them for misleading advertising. You would think they would make sure that the coupon works on the phones they listed. Treating your customers as beta-testers for your website isn't exactly the best business model.

    Can anyone with experience comment on the worth of the Sony Ion LT28H over the Sony S LT26i? This is the first time I've actually looked at Sony phones, and reviews seem to be fairly lacking (I don't trust Cnet one iota). Are the capacitive buttons located on the odd strip on the Xperia S, or are they directly above it?

      The odd translucent strip has the icons for the buttons, but the 3 dots immediately above are the actual buttons. It's also worth noting that they aren't designed particularly well, and don't register a press every time. A fix recommended to me is to swipe to the buttons from immediately below, which seems to work, but still… :/

      The screen is great on the S - I found the biggest issue with my S and the subsequent reason I sold it was the software. Sony managed to bring lag back to ICS 4.0.4

      It was so frustrating to use. The camera is pretty great, though - I do miss that and the dedicated camera button.

      As humpster said, swiping up from the strip to the capacity dot button is best to register a press - I never had an issue with them.

      I don't know how the Ion compares to the S, other than LTE on the ION and a slightly worse screen?

      With the LT26i, depending on the week of manufacture, it should be recent, but if it is any of the earlier stock, you'll have issues with a glue used on the screen - when the screen heats up, it gives a yellow tinge. This issue was fixed after Week 10, I believe (March).

          Apple store (not authorized dealer) may do it, different country has different requirements (like invoice and passport required or outright iPhone only).
          In Hongkong and China, it can. But warrenty only covers failure not caused by user. So in most cases, you have to pay.

    So, how many people have actually made purchases? I decided to do a little digging. The code doesn't work for the Xperia S, Ion, Lumia 800, 900, PSP 3002, and that's all I've tested so far. The code has not worked for ANY of these you've listed, yet you say the code expires on the 14th. This is absolutely shameful Mobileciti, get your act together.

        So, you had never any intention to allow the code to work for the Lumia 710. Thanks for letting us know, I'll wait for another outlet to try Windows Phone. And Kurabi, I tried the code by typing it in, pasting the code in, using three different browsers, Firefox, IE and Chrome and it definitely didn't work in the morning.
