Lyca Mobile: $8 Cashback on 10GB 28-Day $7.50 SIM or eSIM (New Customers) @ TopCashback AU

760

Welcome back, SIM Sluts, to cashback profit territory. This isn't Boost but at $0.50 profit, who's keeping the score?

As usual, be sure to check the terms below :)

Cashback terms and exclusions

What will stop me getting my cashback

  • SIM must be activated within 60 days of purchase for cashback to be eligible.

  • Multiple SIM purchases need to be made as separate transactions. If there is more than one SIM in an order, it may result in an untracked purchase and will be ineligible for cashback. The existing customer rate will therefore apply to subsequent orders.

  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any codes not approved and posted by TopCashback.

  • Cashback is ineligible on purchase of gift cards and/or use of gift cards for payment.

  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

What else is essential

  • Customer status (new or existing) for Lyca Mobile generally entails a new mobile number and/or email address. Lyca Mobile has sole discretion on determining status and acting upon fraudulent and/or excessive transactions as they deem necessary. TopCashback has no control over this.

  • eSIMs are eligible for cashback, but must be activated within 60 days of purchase.

  • Most retailers calculate cashback based on purchase amount excluding GST, other taxes, and delivery fees. Your cashback may report lower than expected due to this.

  • Always return to TopCashback and click through via the pink cashback button to the retailer's website for each new transaction.

  • Ensure the TopCashback link is the last one used to visit the retailer's website prior to completing your purchase.

Good to know

  • Ensure you disable plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole & VPNs prior to clicking/tapping from TopCashback as they will prevent your order from tracking.

  • If you cancel / return / exchange / modify your completed order, it will no longer be eligible for cashback and will be declined in your account.

What to do and when

  • Missing cashback claims must be lodged within 100 days of purchase.

Enjoy!

  • Thanks OP

OK, I'll bite, just to remind myself how, um, er…. "different" Lyca can be.

    • +1

I'll give it some thought, maybe just to try out a new service rather than porting my number given some of the horror stories people have shared.

      • Yeah, I'm just going to spin it up as a new number and run it as SIM2 in my dual-SIM phone.

  • Does anyone know if we would still be eligible for cashback if disabling auto renewal?
Also if the $ amount in your Topcashback account successfully changes from "pending" to "confirmed" status, would it be guaranteed to become "payable" even if the Lyca service gets disconnected before the Topcashback payable date?
The previous expired thread had a section of the CIS which says Lyca will disconnect your number after 90 days without recharging.. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/15875180/redir

Someone that has already ordered this Lyca sim can probably advise us what the Estimated Payable shows up as; but I'm assuming it will be similar to the recent Boost Topcashback offers that had an estimate of 12weeks.

    • +1

Bought yesterday, estimated payable is N/A so far

      • +1

Thanks mate. It will be interesting to see what happens with topcashback payment if the estimated payable is much longer than 12 weeks and it falls after a Lyca service has been disconnected.

        • Just checked in mobile browser, its 14 weeks. eSIM

Note : Apparently estimated payable is not displayed in app as of yet. Thanks TA for clarifying

    • +1

Estimated payable for me is 14 weeks. eSIM.

      • Damn! Well I hope that you still get your cashback if you decide not to recharge your service and it gets disconnected after 90 days.

        • +1

Im lost. Im only seeing that you have to activate the service within 60 days (esim) . Where does it say you need to keep it active for the cashback?

          • @turk182: That's all I saw too. I've only asked the questions in my original comment in case others had found other hidden requirements that may result in a non-payment; such as a disconnected service for example.
But if it only requires sim activation within 60 days and nothing else, then it's happy days for all.

  • Hope to see you next month, Lyca!

Damn, I bought a Lyca sim yesterday as per this deal and it's for New Customers so no profit for me…. I better hand in my OzBargain Membership!

    • Could you give it to another person (a new customer) so they get free service for a month and you get the cashback?

    • Well I bought it 3 days ago on that $7 CB deal so cost me 50c.

Bit strange that each day (or two) TCB add a new deal with 50 cents extra each time. Can only guess that there is lack of interest in other ones and trying to drum up more business OR a new deal to lessen all the Neg feedback that Lyca is getting from previous deal comments. Wish I waited until today as would be $1 richer.

Does lyca have any issues with receiving OTP? I know aldimobile has issues with it.

    • I've never had a problem

      • Ok cheers

    • What is the aldimobile issue?

      • OTP issues, some services don't recognise the 049 number aldi uses so you don't get past verification. Not good if you're signing up to freebies/new user deals.

  • can one port out after 28 days or it needs to stay an active service in order to reply to the otp from other providers? how long do you have to keep it active for to qualify for the cash back?

    • +1

Lyca itself is fine, but porting into Lyca is almost impossible.
Only reason to choose Lyca is just for the data and cashback.

  • Has anyone ported their number to Lyca lately? Has that improved?

    • I ported in and out about 2 months ago, zero issues.

  • How many can I order?

    • u can order as many as you like but $8 is only on first order for new customers other orders will only get 1% cash back as per the terms

      • +1

        What constitutes a new customer?

        • +2

"Customer status (new or existing) for Lyca Mobile generally entails a new mobile number and/or email address. Lyca Mobile has sole discretion on determining status and acting upon fraudulent and/or excessive transactions as they deem necessary. TopCashback has no control over this"

      • So can't order multiples like boost and get the same amount of cash back? Probably gonna give it a miss then…

    $1 profit tomorrow?

    • If these trends continue….. Aayyyyyyyy!

  • 4G only fyi

  • +1

    Good for a new number

  • Going through the order process for an eSIM, it doesn't ask whether I want to port my existing number or get a new number - is this specified after ordering and paying?

  • Free Sim and a tram ride home. Thanks Topcashback!

Too much effort for a $0.50 profit and only 10GB

    LMAO

Switching your existing number to Lyca Mobile has never been easier. Follow the steps below:

    1. Obtain Your IMEI Code:

Call your current mobile service provider and request your PUK code. This unique code is essential for the porting process.

    1. Obtain Your Personal Unlocking Code (PUK Code):

Contact your present mobile service provider and request your PUK code. Remember, this code is crucial for the number porting procedure.

Remember, this code is crucial for the number porting procedure.

How silly of me to have ported numbers 40+ times in the last few years without these codes. I'm such a goose!

Lyca Mobile are such a strange company.

  • Don't know why…but the transaction failed.

    Tried twice….still not working.

    • Had to use paypal as CC payment always fails.

      • Debit card worked alright. Tracked in few minutes.

  • +2

make sure you still have credit for phone calls when you port into lyca. I needed to phone their customer service line to activate and transfer my exisiting phone number across..

  • If I may have used Lyca mobile in the past, can I register using the same email address / number as the past?

  • $64M question. Will this work in an overseas visitor's phone?

  • my port-in failed. they just gave me a new number.

  • their port-in system is too bad. I remember I had problem porting in before. I don't know why they still didn't fix it.

  • What is error "Real MSISDN Allocation Failed in HLR." during activation, so complicated, will avoid in the future
