saveinit used to have it that price, now it's a bit more https://www.saveonit.com.au/product/microsoft-office-365-fam…

  • Does this stack? The cloud storage makes it worth it.

    • Not sure if it's still possible, but last year I was able to stack 4x personal and 1x family too give me a total of 5x family 👍

    • Cloud storage

see i dont believe in paid cloud storage, if i cant store my stuff for free online then f u im putting it on a hard drive and leave it offline. i aint paying for cloud sub, office sub, tv sub, music sub… sub sub. all these things these days that need a subsciption to just do anything is getting out of hand!

        • +2

Your use case isn't the same as everyone else in the world, please understand that.

        • What about a sub from subway? Would you pay for that?

        • I think an argument can be made against plenty of subscription services. I don’t think online ‘cloud’ storage is one of them.

Storing data on a server has a cost, and $99 for 12 months for 6TB is very good. The office suite is just a bonus.

          • @OzzyBrak: frak that, add up all your "wasted" payments on subscriptions when it can be free. Phobucket was great but then they introduced paid, so i downloaded all my pics and deleted my account, all the files are on 2 hard drives backed up. sorry but wasting money on sub is the bane of my life.

            • @sandman20104159: If those hard drives are in the same physical location your backups are still at risk. You’d also need to manage bitrot. With an online cloud storage service you get an easy +1 copy for a small yearly fee.

It really depends on your backup strategy and risk tolerance.

I’d recommend original copy, hard drive copy, cloud copy for a total of +2.

              • @OzzyBrak: mate, im not paying for internet storage when i can put it on a hard drive for free. yes i have a copy at home and a copy at work in a cardboard. i work in IT and if i have to pay for something i fraking hate subscription. im never EVER going to pay for internet storage. no point in telling me mate, i know the risks of hard drives but subsciption is evil!

                • @sandman20104159: I’m not trying to convince you to buy this product or any subscription product. I’m simply pointing out why online storage makes sense from a data safety perspective for the large majority of users.

Unfortunately for you a hard drive in a drawer still isn’t as safe as a commercial online storage product. It is however better than not having it.

                    • @sandman20104159: Reopening this topic to say, you're welcome. It is always worth talking about data and the importance of back ups.

You really think these are legit keys for this price?

      • yeap, why… because i have bought one and have used it for 4 years since owning 2019 office. never had an issue with any of the cd keys from here.

        • -5

Just because the key they supplied has worked for you doesn't mean it's legit. Microsoft Office Pro Plus keys are not for sale to individuals, like it or not.

Why don't you just pirate it. Oh wait you already are..

          • +1

@gibbo_au: mate, clearly you dont work in IT and have no understanding about license types, the keys they offer are the types commonly refered to as RETAIL/OEM. they are offered to Retailers and OEM businesses such as Dell or HP where they buy it and then they embbed it into systems for end users. so yes it kinda is a pirated version but it isa legit offical license.

thank you for your comments. this thread is done. and closed.

      • Does this method ever expire, and what happens to OneDrive if it does?

        • No, it doesn't

        • Doesn't give you OneDrive storage.

          • @ldd-mn: 6TB of OneDrive is the only thing that makes the family sub a good deal imo.

  • Thank you works like a charm and I needed the OneDrive storage
