How to get the best out of this? Tempting.
You don’t collect any points from playing the games, also a bit annoying to share the card between 2 persons as once a game is activated there is a slight delay before you can scan the card again.
Basically the Macca's monopoly reward?
I like when you get in the flow of a 2 player one and you load up a couple extra lives with it as you go. I'll often run over to another machine and activate that too, gotta make the most of it lmao
Lol nice
Like eating as much as you can at a buffet?
With the delay, can you still play a two player game with the one card?
On the same machine, no delay.
@lemonboy308: This is incorrect. There is still delay of around 1 min whether it is a same machine or different machines
@Succulent: On the same machine, usually 3-4 second delay only…pretty confident in this.
Can this be used to play claw machines to win plushies? I mean, 60mins non stop games @ claw machines?
No, only 2 times use for purple machines and 1 time for blue machines (claw ones)
Which is pretty much 80% of what is in Timezone now. Last time we went, there was SFA that were not “excluded” prize games
I miss those days having many games and pinball machines to pick from (and some prize machines when you are in the mood for them). I kind of regret moving more to home console gaming (other than the Commodore Amiga 500 version, my first home console version of SF 2 was SF 2 CE on the Mega Drive - it was only $60…. and I looked at it as "play it more than 30 times and I'll have saved money by not inserting the same amount in the actual arcade game :P).
But I sure do miss putting a coin in the coin slot then pressing start on the arcade machine. Pressing "start" on a PS or Xbox controller isn't the same. Nor is replicating the coin insertion + pressing "start" on an arcade stick when using MAME.
@hawktalk: Mate, just send me $2 bucks via PayID every time you use a credit on MAME. Guaranteed you'll feel the pressure to perform more while playing a game and will still have that nostalgic "broke" feeling when you finally turn MAME off and realize you have no more lunch money.
Actually, you can do claw machine twice, the claw machine is not blue. Either it is purple or rainbow, cant remember.
I rang 1300 421 567. It includes 2 x purple card reader games but not the blue ones.
Yes the claw machine with prize is purple card reader.
Are the lolly scooper games purple?
@serpserpserp: I assume so, otherwise people going to empty the lollies from the machine.
@Succulent: Was thinking the other way, might be another colour that might be fully excluded.
Could you use one card to scan 4 people into a single game?
e.g. Halo
https://www.reddit.com/r/halo/comments/1193c96/the_four_play…Ok, obviously not

Why is my girlfriend okay with me coming home 60 minutes late after spending $20 at Timezone, but not okay when I spend $20 at the pub?
Controlling your finances already and you are not even married yet. Red flag!⛳
Because spending $20 at the pub means you paid for 1 pint of beer and spent most of the hour bemoaning your GF for only allowing you to spend $20.
Thats great, but Timezone (and anywhere else in Australia really) simply dont have enough cabs to bother. Most of the best games only have 1 cabinet at any given location. 2 at most. (some racers might have the 4 car setup). If more than a couple people do this deal at the same store at the same time chances are you cant even play the games you want anyway.
Gold Coast timezone is probably the exception. It is pretty great if you go on a weekday
Is this deal available on public holidays?
@avoxtionly124 I rang Timezone and confirmed that this offer is available on public holidays e.g. today in Melbourne.
Our venues are open every public holiday except Christmas day.
Do the machines know what day it is? Or could I buy these midweek and use them on the weekend?
The allocated time begins after the successful completion of the purchase (the transaction) and the time play package cannot be used at a later date or time in future.
The machines' readers knows the time because they're all network linked.
Your card itself doesn't hold the credits/time. The card readers uses your card to query the linked account of credits/time on their servers.
Ah this is similar-ish deal that just ended yday (buy one get one free 60 min timeplay for $35).
