  • Does it matter what monitor you have?

    • if you mean for the trade in, yeah it matters, not only does it matter but that service is only available in a very limited number of locations.

      • +2

Trade in monitor doesnt matter but just the location? I plan to trade in my dell 27inch 15 yr old+ monitor and the only option available for me to choose was 32" inch below and other brand. The $200 discount was still applied.

Didnt asked me for anything else like serial no or etc.

  • What's the normal price on this team?
Any comments on the quality of the panel?
Would this be ideal for home office use, for office suite of apps and Web based apps?

    • +4

I bought it for $680 this March.
Quality is really good. I have never had VA panel but the 100Hz refresh rate is amazing. Colour is better than my IPS panel on Dell S2722DC.
Great for wfh. 21:9 is also great for movies! I used it for 6 months now and highly recommend. Would say it’s a good price also.

  • +1

Why does Samsung always have crap refresh rates. Dell's 34 inch beats this big time and a better price

    • Because this is an office monitor, not a gaming one.

      • Fair enough.

  • thanks! got my 10% code, time to trade in my 20 inch 10 year old samsung monitor.

  • I bought this for my wife as I've got the HC and wanted the built in webcam at CentreCom recently. It has been just below $600 for a while, but not this low.

    • I should add that I play Fortnite at native resolution and 144fps using displayport connector and find it good.

  • Thanks legend. Scored 10% and placing an order now. Trading in my 10 year old 32 incher.

  • Is it even cheaper in Educational Store?

    • No, for the same monitor specs for the trade in discount it only offered me $25 vs $200 on their main website

  • I currently have a Dell S2722DC. How does this compare?

  • The Samsung app is super laggy..

  • Oh bummer…trade in not available for Canberra

I have had this monitor for half a year now. Truely a life changing monitor, great for wfh!!!

    • Ahoy, does the KVM switch work well?

Im keen to have three devices connected, with two split screen at a time.

Also keen to switch between split screen and full screen across the three devices. Is this easy to do or will it require fumbling around in the screen menu every time i want to switch?

Lastly, does keyboard and mouse input to monitor work across split screen devices? Unsure how this works in practice

      Thanks in advance

      • +1

Split screen switching between 2 devices requires 1 click, full screen switching requires 2-3 clicks.
Mouse and keyboard works fine between devices.

        • A dumb question. Are you refering to the touch pads keys here, which come with the monitor(at the bottom center)? is there a software app or tool for mac, which can be used to control this?

  • This or Dell 34 inch?
I cant tell anymore haha - the Dell seems to have newer ports, etc like DP 1.4, etc and is generally a favourite here of course

  • Thanks for this, wanted to upgrade my WFH monitor for awhile. Followed the instructions above and scored this for $341.14! Happy camper

  • What happens if you tick trade in but don't have a monitor for them to collect on the day? Will they refuse delivery?

  • This or HP Omen 780K7AA?

  • I forget %5 in app discount, 555

  • If don't have old monitor should get anywhere first? Like facebook market or gumtree?

  • Does the trade in need to be a Samsung monitor?

    • No. There's a drop down list of non-Samsung brands you can select.

  • Thanks and ordered

Good deal. Never had a screen that can support multiple sources at the same time (split screen and picture in picture)… Work laptop within personal laptop screen for maximal YouTube distraction during meetings??

      • +1

Purchase of gift cards or use of gift cards for full or partial payment.

        …etc

  • Can't resist after it's back to stock. Chat with the online CSR and got a voucher after taking a picture of my washing machine's SN.

  • Damn….I just bought the Dell S3423DWC when it was down to about $430. This Samsung has 90w vs 65w hub, tilt adjustability and a built in webcam for a little less. Seems like a better monitor feature wise.

    • Same here, I am returning the Dell monitor for this

  • This or
    - dell 34 s3422 curved gaming monitor
    - omen 34c curved gaming monitor

Used primarly for WFH, web browings, online video watching and occassional gaming

    • I chose the Samsung cos it was cheaper, has an integrated webcam with Windows Hello support (saves me from using my work laptop's webcam), and has an ethernet port.
No clue how the PQ would be between the three though.

  • Are there any macOS users here? How does WQHD work with a Mac?

    • Not a problem at all.

      • Thanks

  • Does anyone have a spare 10% off Samsung code, I can use ? thanks

    • +1

    • What are you talking about?? As OP declared:

      Credits to @HDay

I was about to buy a Dell 34" USB-C monitor until I came across their comment – https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/15900145/redir

That's the original source of this post, and OP added an additional 10% royalty voucher discount to it.

  • Anyone got their monitor dispatched yet? Is supposed to arrive tomorrow but no shipping update..

    • +1

I got a message that it would arrive on the 18th!

    • +1

I received a text from ANC saying they received my order. The message said i would get another message with confirmation of the delivery slot the day before. I never received it but the text includes a tracking link. You can use that to find out the slot time.

  • I just asked 10% royalty voucher and CR gave it to me without any proof.
Found broken monitor for $10 on market place.

  • +2

Received my New Monitor yesterday 13-Nov. I had ordered on 11th Nov. (Before placing order, bought a 10$ dell monitor from FB Marketplace for trade-in.)
Received HDMI, USB-C-C cable with Samsung ViewFinity S65VC.
After setting up, the monitor looks good. It looks better, and has better colors than Dell - S2722QC 4K that we have at home.
Obviously picture quality cannot me compared with OLED, blacks are not absolute black, but that was expected and understandable.
Overall good display for the price.

I was not able to change refresh rate from 60Hz to 100Hz. I think it was because I was using USB cable for display. Replaced it with HDMI and I could increase the refresh rate to 100Hz.
I was thinking of installing Samsung "Easy setting Box" to partition screen into multiple windows. But "Windows key and Up, down, left, right arrows" seems to work ok for me to manage multiple windows in screen. Not sure if Samsung software has any other advantage.
Also, this is first time I am using Ultrawide monitor; And quite happy to have big screen to watch movies and have functionality of 2 monitors at cost of one :)

    • +2

I explored the settings yesterday, and if you want to set the refresh rate to 100Hz using a USB cable, here’s how:

      1) Open the Monitor Settings menu.
      2) Navigate to the System section.
      3) Locate USB-C Preference and switch it to High Resolution.

This will enable the 100Hz refresh rate via USB-C. I hope this helps.

      • Ah great, thanks!
I had seen that setting, but did not think that it will change refresh rate. So it seems they use more cable bandwidth for video and reduce bandwidth to be used for other data transfer, when this setting is enabled.

        • No worries. Glad it helps :)

    • As someone who is debating whether to buy this or the S2722QC 4K, are you able to share your opinion on which is better? It would be purely for WFH in a room that does have bright natural light coming through.

      • +1

After your message rechecked both the monitors. For color, clarity, I will revise my earlier line - Dell also looks quite good.
Then it all depends on your usage.
If you watch 16:9 content a lot, you should go with dell monitor, as I find vertical bands in WQHD distracting. Also, if you plan to add more monitors to WFH setup, go for Dell.
In my case, I won't be adding any more monitor to my setup. This WQHD monitor allows me to split it's screen and work like 2 monitors, besides laptop screen. This helps a lot in my productivity. If you are just going to have 1 monitor, WQHD monitor would be very helpful. Also if you watch movies/21:9 content, this WQHD monitor would be better suited.
Other features like KVM switch, Camera - I don't use a lot. If you need them, consider them in your decisioning. Both are enough bright btw.

        • Thanks for the feedback. My current setup is an Ultrasharp 25" with laptop as second screen. Recently I stopped using my laptop and just use the monitor with split screen for a cleaner setup. Looking to keep just one screen so the Samsung might be the way to go.

  • To use the webcam, I'm guessing you have the use USB-C connection to the monitor? Can't see the webcam being supported over HDMI.

    • +1

I am using my monitor with a single USB-C to a MBP. Webcam / Mic works ok with USB-C. The webcam is not detected on teams using the HDMI included in the box.

I had to install a mac app called monitor control to control the volume using the single usb-c cable.

P.s. The guys didnt even bother taking my old monitor away!

      • Thanks, good to know

      • Did they mention the old monitor at all?

        • Nah, they dropped off the new one and didnt ask about the old one. If they want it they can come and get it i guess.

          • @rollin: My order just delivered and the guy also asked for my old one and took it away

            • @Woody123: mine 2 guys came to deliver it and one expected to take it away

        • +1

My monitor got delivered and old monitor was taken. Delivery guy said he had been busy delivering this monitor whole day.

      • I was trying to get webcam to work on HDMI as ucb-c is connected to another laptop needing it. So guessing we can never get this work on HDMI? just curious if Display Port would work in this case?

    • No luck on HDMI for me either. Wondering if you tried Displayport?

  • +1

Late to this. They just dropped the $200 trade-up discount. That's the big part of this deal.
If anybody comes up with workaround, happy to hear

    • Does anybody have a screenshot of have showing $200 tradeup bonus.
Just had a chat with samsung support they might be able to still give to the discount if we had screenshot.
      Appreacite any help
