12watt, 12 Volts, 120 Degrees, warm white? i need about 15-20 (hmm maybe more from the count in my head)

    eg:
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/10x-MR16-Dimmable-3x4W-CREE-LED-S…

ordered about 15 from ebay so far (all different types for testing), anything less than 12 watts has been a bit dim…

I've got a dozen from AliExpress, 9w cool white for kitchens/bathrooms. Less then that it's dark.

But good to see a local supplier with reasonable prices.

  • Son of a b!@#$ I bought 10 of these from ebay literally a week ago.

buy the dr700,we bought a couple sets of the others on ebay that claimed to be 9w and ended being 3w etc i turfed them out as most sellers claim to have 9w and they are nothing but junk,
6w is not equal to 50w
    10.5w equals 50w
    Check out wp http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1971232

    • yeah there equivalents halogen do seem to be a bit high…

    • The 10W Cree MT-G's are also 720 lumens. Best of all the ones I've tried.

      • True, if you want to replace 50w halogens you have to go close to 10w LED. Can one of you post a link here for a better deal then??

I have been looking for a long time now. The biggest problem I have is that most sellers don't show the complete specs of the light. Especially the beam angle (including this seller). Downlights are ok when they are fixed far apart but when you replace them with LED's unless you have a good beam angle it'll look like spot lights on the floor.

Is 30 degrees mean 60 degrees to both sides from the axis??

  • Definitely misleading figures quoted in this 'bargain'.
It takes a 10W LED to be equivalent to a 50W halogen.
You will be disappointed if you purchase a 6W from here expecting the same light output as your halogens.

I am using 10W Osram LEDs from Bunnings for my house lighting. $25 each.

  • I'm in the process of buying about 20 of LED lights and have been quoted between $40 - $60 for the ones we are looking for. The ones in this listing cost like a few bucks. What am i missing here?

You must have taken the quote from a millionaire tradie in Aus :)
I had the same experience. My builder asked more than $2000 to change 20 halogen downlights to LED's in my new house. So I stick with halogens and thought I will do it my self later.

      • Same here actually. We however cant afford to delay cause we have no lights at all at the moment.
