Hey mate, just a headsup because I saw you are a new account. But centrecon have a history of shady pratices here ranging years back, incluidng but limited to the usual sh*tty customer service, all the way to frequent cancelled orders as they 'have a right to not make a loss' and they will cancel orders on grounds that they are OOS except they would relist them at the same time at a higher price (even though they set the price themselves in the first place, the former isnt really legal neither, rainchecks). Just ask any of us folks being around some time.

Nowadays, Im not sure if they have taking in Chinese employees or underwent a leadership change into chinese majority, but they have been advertising heavily on chinese social media (xiaohongshu), and the common census among the chinese exchange students that bought on their deceptive lies? Again, its the same terrible customer service and cancelled orders just like it was on here. Exorbitant fees on returns, opened 'brand new' items, etc.

This isnt to say you should never buy from them, of course, good centrecon deals are still upvoted here. But I guess the takeway is that I would rather not frequent their business, and especially in this case there they do not offer the better pricing. You should take your money to a less scammy business.

      • I wasn't really aware of all that as I have only ever been to them once donkey years ago and they did seem a bit shady back then, seems like they've only gotten worse since,
I am a bit surprised that no one has sued them for their practices yet?
Anyhow Thanks for the extensive run down, appreciate it!

  • Officeworks can price beat -5% using CentreCom since I doubt people like them. So $236.55 for as long as their stock lasts.

    • Did you price match it? Seems like CentreCom's stock ran out unfortunately otherwise I was going to do it :(
