Great deal for an arcade stick. Better quality than an off-hand brand and easily modded for better parts such as Sanwa's as the buttons aren't soldered onto a PCB. I already ordered one so I can confirm it ships to Australia. Shipping for me was around $15 so I ended up paying under $50 for the stick.

    Ugly! But cheap!

  • I wonder if you can buy a replacement sticker to go over the top.

    • Should be able to.

    • Got mine today.
You can rip off the WWE sticker if you like.
It's a bit of an "industrial" look after that.

Not a bad price for it. A little unfortunate since I've seen it go for around $20, but that's just inside the US and we wouldn't get a price like that here obviously. Like the OP said, it's probably the best stick you can buy if you intend to slap in some Sanwa parts. Very easy to mod, and has 8 buttons.

would you guys recommend this for street fighter iv?

    • Well, sure, kinda. It's the best you'll get for the price. I'd recommend this modified with Sanwa parts (this is the easiest stick to modify and there are tutorials everywhere) over just about anything other than the freakishly cheap Hori V3/VX that Big W had a few days ago. Buying a top of the line stick with Sanwa parts pre-installed will generally cost you about $150. Buying the Sanwa parts separately will cost about $30-$40 (though I'm not sure about shipping), so you'll be saving a lot of money by modifying this stick. But that might not even be necessary. It's possible you'll be fine with stick and buttons already in this.

So yeah, if you play a lot of Street Fighter it's definitely worth it.

      • Iwhat advantages the sanwa has over this? Smoother controll?

        • Yeah, kinda. Cheaper joysticks tend to be less of an issue than cheaper buttons. Cheaper buttons can be a little squishy or unresponsive. Cheaper joysticks can have a weird sensitivity or "feel" to them. The weight/resistance mightn't feel right or the throw (how far you can pull the stick in a direction before it's stopped) might be too short or long. Having barely looked into the stick on sale beyond how easy it is to mod, I'm not sure what the joystick or buttons are like. I know it's a square gate, which is generally preferred for fighting games (but may feel strange if you've played fighting games on an octagonal or round gate in the past).

But the parts in this stick aren't going to be terrible, so don't worry about that. It's still going to be better than any gamepad and I'm pretty sure it's better than any other budget stick.
