Classic. The "cabin" size looks to exceed their maximum carry on size

Having the Qantas badge really ruins the luggage.

Maybe I can rip it off and replace it something less offensive like Aer Lingus.

I'll try to refrain from calling that a "cunning" use of "lingus".

      • You didn't refrain very well…

    • Aer Lingus - the cunning airline

I have these exact cases I bought a few years back (for $209 inc postage so this isn't exactly a bargain). The luggage is excellent though. They've been through several asian airports and survived to tell the tale. After having them for about 2 years and using them every few weeks they still look like they're new.

They aren't 'light weight' though but not heavy either.

You can also buy a 41cm bag to complete the set.

  • Too heavy! Looking for luggage, but not these because of their excessive weight.

  • 7 years Qantas Warranty!

Who will be providing the remaining 5 Years? Emirates?

  • I thought Heathrow was know as ThievesRow because of all the luggage that went missing there.

  • Are these any good? Thinking of buying them but i already have a large 70ish cm Tosca luggage bag for international travel and really not sure if this is a bargain. Any other brands or deals anyone recommends for around the same price or cheaper? Nothing wrong with my Tosca, i just wouldnt mind a matching set.

Also are hard shells better or worse, never had any experience with them.

    • Hi ttwaite - I've got two of the red colored 'canvas' Qantas cases (cashed in points to get them, when they were going cheap) and they have stood the test of time. Also very light (55cm & 35 cm) and still look new. There's a half moon shaped carry on/cabin bag (with wheels) that fits heaps. It appears my set are no longer available, but the JFK set are very similar.

I also have two hard shell 'Saxoline' cases, 55cm (medium) size and these too have survived (amazingly) thru Heathrow, LAX, Athens and JFK airports! Cases are still intact, but the hard shells do get scuff marks. (Friends have different brands hard shells, same thing happens).

They are cases you can't miss on the luggage carousel:)
