Is your 64GB Lexar JumpDrive S73 USB 3.0 Flash Drive going to be on sale soon?

        • Yes. We have placed the order, just waiting for the stock.

We can post the deal but it won;t ship until the end of the month most likely.

I'd prefer to pay the extra $10 get Australian stock with accessories (cables) and 5 years warranty with TAX invoice

    • +1

You will still get the tax invoice. And this is technically Australian stock they are just OEM drives.

Keep in mind for TRS this purchase will not qualify as it is below the minimum. In case that was your concern.

  • Cheap cheap cheap. This version is faster than the 840 non pro just fyi. If you are looking for one, either get his one or the 840 pro version.

  • +1

As usual, soon after you buy something, it comes up cheaper somewhere else :( Good deal tho Flingshot :)

Any good deal on Samsung Ultrabook with hybrid HDD?

  • Seriously considering getting this for my computer!

    • +1

Just buy it - I have this SSD and it rocks. Makes a HUGE difference.

  • +4

If you are considering this… DON'T.

Stop CONSIDERING and just buy it already. I have purchased a few 830's for use in both Mac and PC and it has been unbelievable. Massive difference and wish that I had made the change earlier.

    Buy now.

    • +4

brb kids going hungry this week because you told me to buy it.

    • well that seems to have worked

and yes mate, they are awesome. i was thinking about buying another PC that i dont really need just so i could buy another (one of these insanely cheap) 830. thankfully, sold out

    • I swear my heart skipped a beat or two during that first sentence.
You shouldn't scare people like that ;-)

    Hey Flingshot,
I bought a brand new Ultra Notebook from you last week. Three days ago the Wireless Network stops detecting any network. I contacted you SO MANY times, but what I received so far were just a couple of promises to call me. But no one called me yet.
I will keep other OzBargainers posted on WHEN you will call me to get it fixed.

    • +3

The tech called the mobile number provided but it went to message he is trying to call again now on the landline. We should be able to get it resolved for you. If not we will swap out the machine.

      • As advised on the phone we will pick up the unit tomorrow and test over the weekend if it is faulty we will get a new one shipped out on Monday.

Apologies for the delay with the tech support, as you can imagine it has been a very busy week here.

  • Cheers guys, just grabbed two. I take it this doesn't include an SSD bracket for normal PCs?

    • Get yourself some ducktape

  • Is this really a Samsung 830 drive?

It doesn't look like my 830 and it doesn't say the model number anywhere.

    • This is the email I got.

      One Day Deal - Day11 - $88 Samsung 128GB 830 SSD

Day Eleven of our Daily Deals!

      Samsung 128GB 830 Series SSD $88 Shipped.

This 7mm SSD will work in pretty much every laptop and in most ultrabooks that require a 2.5mm drive. Also a great upgrade for an older machine or even a desktop as an OS drive.

    • +1

The picture on their site is the under side of the 830.

  • Looks to be out of stock? If theres any left please let me know :)

    • omg just saw the deal now and bought it :D

    • Put your email into the page if we get more stock you will be notified.

  • Sold out already.

  • i bought an sammy 830 without bracket. is there any places where i can possibly get the samsung's mounting bracket (if it exists)?

    • We have a few brackets laying around at FSHQ. Shoot us an email and we can send one your way.

They are for 9mm drives but should work fine if it is for a desktop.

  • darn out of stock, should done this when i had the chance.

  • Um, so now that it's out of stock… (and I'm thinking of considering one) can somebody please tell me whether I can swap out the HDD in my HP Envy 6 (purchased @ $499 thanks to http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/73762) for any SSD such as this one? Or are all SSDs not the same? Thanking you…

    • Pretty sure that machine takes a 7mm drive. In fact I am 98% sure. So an 830 series 7mm would work.

      • Thanks! See you next time ;-)

  • Well, that was an extremely limited deal…

    • +3

Yeah, just clearing some stock. We may have more available next week though. Keep in mind we only emailed our mailing list we specifically didn't post here due to limited stock.

  • Dammit - was looking around a couple hours ago for one of these, but I just had to duck out for an hour…

OzBargain really needs some mechanism to know what I want, then send me emergency klaxons on my mobile.

    • If you sign up for our emails you will be notified before it gets posted here if/when we get more stock in.

  • Hi rep,

This SSD can be replaced for HDD installed in your previous deal of Samsung ultrabook Series 5?

By the way, any special tool or bracket needed to do this?

    Thanks,

    • +1

This will indeed work in any series 5 Samsung. The bracket you need is currently holding the HDD. Keep in mind switching the HDD for an SSD will disable the caching drive. Also keep in mind it is insanely difficult to do with the Samsung's unless you plan to do a clean install of Windows. At which point you need to keep in mind that the license is encrypted on the machine itself, which means you basically need another license. Not for the faint of heart…

  • Samsung Ultrabook Series 5 is a hybrid with 24GB SSD, if we remove the 500Gb HDD and replace with this 128GB SSD, then how about that 24GB?

    • See above.

  • That caching drive on the Series 5 Ultrabook is a real pain. I'm trying to do a clean install with Windows 8 and setup keeps putting the reserved system partition on the caching drive and won't boot! Can't see the caching drive in the BIOS to disable it, can't see where it is to physically pull it out either. I even tried using diskpart to disable that drive, but it wouldn't install. I may have to resort trying to install Win8 on another laptop, then put it back into the Samsung.

Anyone else have any experience with this problem?

  • Why out of stock! I wanted to buy 1!

    • +1

You snooze you lose! Especially on OzB!

  • Hmm there's another Samsung 128GB SSD 2.5in 7mm Slimline Drive - v2 on their website for $80 free shipping

    • Maybe it's the Samsung Extreme or 840? (though technically they're 120GB, not 128GB).

    • It was just a one off for a customer, removed now.

      • Flingshot, can you make sure that you include the model number in the title description? It will help solve confusion.

Also, what's the chance of getting a Samsung 840 or Samsung 840 Pro in stock?

I signed up to your email today :)

        • If we had posted it then we would have ;)

        • Sorry I thought I included that, didnt realise 830 could be a different one?

  • Sigh, payment is still pending. Any idea when we'll get these, flingshot? It would be ludicrous to expect pre-Christmas delivery, of course, but I'm curious as to what your open hours are before / after Christmas, and how much these will affect delivery times.

    • When you say payment is still pending, did you use a bank transfer for paypal?

All the drives were sent out yesterday for Monday delivery…

      • PayPal, I believe.

        • Sorry I meant do you have a credit card linked to paypal or a bank account. If it is a bank account it does not come out instantly.
