  I went to Target to today and found this deal.

  I found the following conversation interesting….
  One lady asked about iPad mini: "Is this retina display?"
  Target rep: "Yes, all iPads have retina display"

  I went to DS for price match tonight，was told they only made 0.5% profit of the RRP, so they couldn't price match it.Went to DJ,they price matched for me at the end. not sure if BigW will do or not.

    I tried last weekend. Not working with Myer. That basically claim that price is lower than their cost price so they cannot do it. Got mine at $497 instead.

    edit: OP just mentioned iPad 4th gen but the sale also includes iPad 2.

    Yep, that's where I got mine a few hours ago.

    They told me to hurry up because there was only one left but when I got there, 6 had apparently materialised out of thin air.

    Apparently bigw is having a double staff discount tomorrow (so 10% instead of 5%) which would bring the price down to $426.60 for the 16 gb wifi version.

  Thank you for your post. I just ordered one (iPad 4 16GB) from Target online website. You can pick a Target store to collect your iPad. Today, I visited TGG with an intention to buy one but they refused to give me any discount so I didn't buy from them.

      I picked up an ipad Mini yesterday at the Good Guys Bankstown - only 2 left in stock - 16GB wifi + cellular for $499 - not quite 5% off but a good deal considering out of stock most places. I searched nearly all over sydney and it was right on my doorstep! He did say he also had a handful of the bigger models left if anyone is interested.
      Naturally I wanted the wifi only especially considering the price differences but the only chance of that happening was to wait 2 weeks upon 2 more weeks at apple or ebay.

  Got the 16GB cellular version price matched at Myer civic in Canberra. $645.

  Used gift cards of course and getting gst back when I travel next month.

  Why waste money buying a "RETINA DISPLAY" practically useless "iTunes" slave Ipad when you can buy so many other awesome tablets on the market for $500. Make a wise decision this Christmas and buy Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.
  I did and cant be more happy throwing away my useless Iphone and Ipad.
