Are you running linux or 64bit windows ? if not it wouldn't fully use the extra ram,

XP 32bit- SP3 Will only take 3.5gb
Vista 32bit -SP1 Will only take 4gb and turns the rest in to video mem.

I doubt anyone will buy a pack of 10,

    try to optimise everything so he never need more than 3GB.

      Top job with the list. I was thinking there was no way you could cover my Arch Linux / Server 2008 64-bit setup that is optimised but the extra RAM comes in handy at times :D

You should note this is DDR2, "DDR" alone implies DDR1
