Here we find ourselves in the Year of Our Lord 2025, the world in flames around us, and the standard price for a discount monthly sim is $7. Sad, sad times indeed.

    • Yes indeed. I believe that this may be best price in market in these dark times? Anyone else have a good alternative?

      • Lyca is currently $6 for 20gb 28 day validity

          Punkboy said a good alternative.

          • @wavesgreen: Something I should have known? Bought a sim on the weekend with a disposable single use card. Will not port, just use it lightly and disregard. Appears to use same voda network as this deal.

            • @powerhead: Lyca is awful for porting, and just awful in general.

              • +1

@wavesgreen: Yes agreed. Friends don't let friends use Lyca if Porting.

                • @Punkboy: Even just using it for a one-off use you have to make sure they don't stealth renew you. Absolute garbage company.

              • @wavesgreen: Lyca never delivered sim when ordered online. I switch between lebara and Vodafone these days.

    • … the world in flames around us…

      Where are the flames? 😶

Cast your mind back to the second week of January 2025.

        • Oh right, I see 👍

I thought you meant metaphorically (except you do for the world part)

  • Is the Vodafone + Optus sharing agreement still on?

  • Can we use this to port out from telstra and port back in again?

    • Yes

  • Vodafone (KOgan) still bad internet downloads/speeds not downloading anything, internet barely loading pages. But Optus is ok (via Optus/Amaysim) very strange… it may still be affected by "Priority" eg if ur a Vodafone customer vs an Optus customer , Optus customers get prioritized

I think it depends on location. Where i am, optus is shocking but vodafone works reasonably well.

  • one of my number expire in about 3 weeks and needed one…what's the date that must activate? 30 days after the purchased?

    • 10GB + 5GB activation bonus for first 3 recharges, activate by 31/3/25.

      • i thought that date for activation bonus but not about sim card expired date after the purchased normally 30 days…

        • I've seen 30 days for cashback deals but it doesn't apply to this SIM.

          From Lebara:

the Lebara SIM must be activated within 365 days of purchase.

          • @trixieb: thanks so much…gonna grab one as my number about to be expire soon.

I have activated the sim but can only see 10gb available in my account. Where is this 5gb bonus?

    • The T&Cs state the 5gb bonus is on the first recharge at $20. Dodgy marketing practice…

    • Should be 15GB. Please contact Lebara. SIM is discounted but you're meant to get 15GB as per the ad.

    • It doesn't show in the app but apparently shows in your account if you log in on the website. That's what people tell me, never checked it myself.
