Looking for a shaver for my dad, found this deal, pretty awesome.
100-240v compatible, do not need the adapter plug I think.
With the cleaning system and LCD display, looks like very decent.

  • Looks good , the LCD display is a plus,~ $40 cheaper than yesterday according to camelX3

  • I paid $300 for this 2 years ago… very good shaver.

How does it compare to Philips Norelco 1250X/46 SensoTouch 3D from the other deal? if you know!!!

      • Not sure. But I do know the 3 circular head design (which the Philips Norelco 1250X/46 uses) is bad for sensitive skin.

You'll still need an adapter for the plug.

    • Or just get some pliers and bend the prongs ever so slightly. I did this with my ES-LA93 and it worked just fine.

      • I did this on my american Philips, works fine.
Just make sure the actual transformer is dual-voltage of course.

  • The head of this shaver, reminds me of the movie 'Aliens'.

Got one of these from Amazon 6 months ago. Great shaver.

US to AU adapter is available for $1 or so on eBay. At that price I keep a few of them on hand and don't bother bending pins, though either way works.

    • I also got one from a deal last January for about this price. Best shaver I've ever had, doesn't result in a rash, easy to use, easy to clean etc.

  • For those who have this, how's the cleaning station? The standalone model is $50 cheaper.

    • I like to have it as a place to store and charge the shaver and it does do a good job of cleaning it though a quick wipe under the tap does fairly well too. To me it's worth the $50 more. The LCD lights up and flashes when it's finished charging though which can be annoying at night - not sure if the standalone one does this but it probably does. For that reason I usually leave it switched off and charge about one day a week during the day so it doesn't annoy anyone.
