Samsung WF1752 7.5kg Front Load Washing Machine $473 (RRP $779) @ Good Guys Plus $75 Cash Card

140

In store deal, stickered price. Was looking around for a new washing machine and noticed this discounted in the store (good guys Artarmon Home HQ) for $474. Website lists at $589. No bargaining required (although I got an extra dollar off to make it $473!). Samsung is offering a $75 cash card via redemption on this, so overall price of $398, cheapest new machine I could find. Not sure how much delivery costs, was able to pick it up. Got the model with the white door but apparently the chrome is also available. Plenty of stock. Ignore the total as I got a new TV as well. Also declined extended warranty.

1200rpm machine (cheaper than the same size samsung 7.5kg 1000rpm machine), see link for specs:

Thanks Keiren, next time, hide your personal details.

    • lol, blacked out - not!

thetownfool you need to properly remove your personal details from the receipt.

      • Whoops! Fixed now. Thanks.

  • Just a note, the tv is $1 cheaper at HN :P

    • Yeah I noticed that the following day. So the $1 extra I got off the machine was lost =(

  • This is great deal. Appliances online have for $569 less the $75. So if you can get delivered and old one gone for less than $100 you are better off.

    • Sell your old one on eBay. There's always someone willing to pay you to take it away…

    • Delivery to CBD, Ryde area is 40$

  • hmm I was thinking of selling my old one and buying a new one, this is similar to the one I have, must be a newer model :) If only you could do that with wives :p

You can, just tends to cost quite a lot.

  • BUT, this is $598 on the front of their website?? whoops you have stated that lol

  • You bought the same TV that I purchased and the same fridge that I was planning to ..:) Thanks for the receipt, I will go there first hour tomorrow morning to get this

  • Thats an excellent price. I am in WA, if I took the receipt to a good guys store here, do you think they'd match it?

    • +1

I can't be sure, not certain of how things work at Good Guys, but certainly this price should be available in any NSW store, so I imagine there's a good chance you'd get it in WA. Worth a shot at least. As I said, I never bargained for it, it was marked at this price on the floor and they had plenty of units available.

    • I got the WF1752WPC (Chrome door of this machine) at the good guys for $472 + $75 cash back meant it was $397 in WA (Malaga).

      Have fun! :)

  • Better buy it before Apple sue

  • thetownfool, is the Chrome one the same price? thanks

    • The sales guy asked me if I wanted the white or the chrome and I went for the white, which was the one on display. Chrome is listed at $20 more RRP on the website, but he never indicated it was a different price in store, so I assumed they were the same. Couldn't guarantee that though, sorry.

Anyone have any luck securing this deal today?
Was told that it's only a one-day boxing sale on the 27th…

    • Nah, my local gg (chaddy, vic) would only do $504. I walked.

      • $504 is still a pretty sharp price - if I wanted the machine I wouldn't walk out on that price although it would be nice to get it a few bucks cheaper.

I saw on a review site where someone in Perth got it around 20th Dec for $500 including delivery/setup/removal of old machine - was at a local electrical retailer not GG.

        • The reason I walked was because our current whirlpool machine was still running at that point, just the main bearing has broken down so its really loud. I thought i could hold out for several weeks at that point.

But the very next day it completely crapped out and blew the mains fuse.

But thanks to your photo I was finally able to get it in vic for your price today - see below.

  • Not available any more. Went to TGG Artarmon.. It was just one day sale for boxing day… Mods please mark this as expired

Harvey Norman (in Bundall, Gold Coast) has the Samsung 1752 (WPC - the chrome front one) in store with a big yellow A4 sized price ticket saying $472 as a "half yearly clearance" and that price is valid for all orders - not display stock or anything like that.

My local Good Guys said they will match it. Net price after Samsung cash back = $397

2 year factory warranty - I think they said an extra 3 years (5 yr total) is $90 or so.

My credit card gives me an extra 1 year warranty on any Australian purchases anyway (up to 4+1 yrs) so I will probably stick with the 3 years total and not pay to extend to 5 yrs.

      Hope this helps someone.

      • but how would you claim price match ? is it there in their catalogue ? I don't see it available online for that price ?

        • +1

Here is a link to the photo I took in store: https://www.dropbox.com/s/13jm4y7jj8lswb1/IMG_1811.JPG

If you zoom in you can read the exact model number off the ticket or the machine itself.

        • Thanks for the photo. Going in to HN today in vic to see if I can match it. Trouble is, our current machine finally crapped out yesterday, so I have to buy today.

      • HN in vic have the same half yearly clearance tag on it, but it says $560. I couldn't be arsed waiting around for sales staff, they were all flat out.

  • Ok i got it for $472 at HN Chadstone.

Bit of a saga. I was at HN springvale anyway, so asked about it there and the dude said it was out of stock for 3 weeks. This was before I mentioned the price I wanted it for - maybe I look/smell like an ozbargainer lol.

So I went to chadstone HN just to check (on my way to GG where they offered $504 the other day) and they had plenty in stock at their local warehouse. WTF was springvale on about?

Anyway. He balked a bit at the price, the photo really helped. He had to go out back and ask Gerry.

Thanks so much Town Fool. We showed our local GG the docket and they offered to match it. You've saved us a bundle. Thank you.

  • any one got a receipt they have for Melbourne stores? can you send it to me? having a hard time with my local GG they said the offer is interstate so they couldn't match it…

  • Of all the ozbargains bargains I've taken advantage of over the years, this is the one that inspired me to sign up. A relatively boring white goods purchase. Ah we'll.

So I'm well late to this party, but I just wanted to say I rang my local (over 100km away) Good Guys to see if they would match the OP price and they did, over the phone without hesitation. Had delivery and 3yr extended warranty added for a touch over $600 all up. Many thanks to the OP for the receipt, and a massive thanks must go out to The Good Guys as well.
