  • Sounds like a good deal. Is it valid for sim card packs?

I was going to switch to Telstra until I tested my iphone 3GS on Virgin against an iphone 5 on Telstra and the 3GS opened web pages faster…

I was in central NSW just the other day. My phone (Telstra) worked perfectly, my wife's phone (Voda) was emergency service only. It's more than speed mate…

  • If I purchase online, will it be an actual purchase or will it be an offer to purchase??
Could you please clarify so I know I wont get Harvey Normaned.
    Thanks

    • While hard to believe, it could be worse, you could end up purchasing the wrong thing. A couple of months back I clicked to buy a Defy+ and got a nano SIM card instead. Took a month to receive the chargeback.

      • They charged you for a Defy+ and sent you a Nano sim only??

        • No the website mysteriously changed my order for a Defy+ after I clicked Buy to a nano SIM which I totally did not want. They said they couldn't cancel the transaction even though I called them immediately. Their advice was to reject the delivery and they would refund. They sent it out, and I had to go through the usual merry-go-around with couriers and carding to reject the delivery, and finally received the chargeback a month from the start of the saga.

        • This sounds bad. My apologies. It's not the way it's supposed to happen. In case of inquiries, it's best to ring the online order team directly. They have access to the actual order. The general phone teams don't have access to the order until it's processed, and then it's too late to stop shipment. The direct number for the online order team is in the confirmation email. Gerd

what purpose does this comment serve other than to try and start trouble?

    • It will be offer to purchase. They will take your money once you hit the submit button.

Then cancel the order if their online verification system doesn't trust you and you will need to chase Telstra to get your refund.

It happened to me during defy+ purchase.

    • Hi there - it's an actual purchase. Essentially, all purchases from the online stores in the listed categories will get the voucher. Gerd

    • It's a purchase commitment from you, but Telstra does eligibility checks on postpaid orders, eg credit checks. This is to avoid fraud etc. Some people enter into a new contract just to get the "free" phone and never make a payment ever. So some order don't make these checks and can't proceed.

Sportscraft used to give out $20 Gift Vouchers for birthdays.

  • Welcome Gerd, glad to see a rep from another major turn up here.

    • Thanks :)
