Just spotted this looking around for the ANC model, seemed cheap for a reputable store.
Price beat at Officeworks should be $246.05

Cool.
I have a SAMCOOL
I have an iDontCare.
@U30004: Yes I have an iPhone but I don't care what others have and its pointless when people post things like "I have a Samsung" when the product is specific for Apple. Its just pointless posting.
@geekcohen: Pointless ⁉️
Can't these airpods be used with any phone ? You just lose some features , so whatever everyone else is saying is click bait .
@Murkymerv: Mmmmmm … my Apple AirPods can be used without a phone (active noise cancellation). Just brilliant ear plugs.
Lol
I have a PIXEL but use airpods pro's 😂
Wow very affordable 2 little buds. Apple must be making lots of profit….. /s
You know, the old saying about fools and their money.
You means fools and their apples?
No, money. Because they don't part with Apple.
@lostinsydney: Whatever you want to call it.
Such earbuds are inherently bad due to sound leakage.
Similar price point will bring about much more capable earbuds. Bowers & Wilkins PI5 and Technics AZ60 as an example.
After reading a few posts. Appears to be consistent that anything negative on a Tesla or Apple deal will guarantee negative votes to reflect such (mental disorder?). Oh well.

I personally like the hard plastic as I find silicone tip earbuds to be irritating.
Sure, you’ll never get as good noise cancellation without a seal but it does a decent job.

Pretty much everything has a small toxic fan base which refuse to acknowledge any criticism for person/product/company/etc.
For something large as Apple, it’s a bit more apparent because large customer base = proportionally large toxic fan base.
It’s balanced out by toxic haters which cannot acknowledge any merit for person/product/company/etc.
@FireRunner: Not sure. Tend to see more on Tesla/Apple deals, which things get rather heated, often to the extend of exchanging personal insults.
@SetTheFaqUp: Big brands like Tesla and Apple, not surprisingly they have a relatively large hater/fanboi base.
I think in most cases it’s the toxic haters that instigate the battles with a contentious comment which degenerates into personal insults.
I also think the arguments cement their own belief/point of view for both sides which makes the hater/fanboi even more toxic
Worth every damn cent.
Currently free on the education store till 13 March.
Oh, you also have to buy a Mac.
Can use 10% off Everyday extras for bigger discount? $233.10 less any wish gift card.
Nice one
No, unfortunately Apple products are excluded from the discount: https://www.everyday.com.au/extra/terms.html
Unfortunate then.
Just an FYI, these do not have silicon eartips to provide a proper seal against the outside, so the ANC algorithms will be rowing against the tide since more sound will be leaking in from the outside. If you want silicon eartips, you have to go for the Pro model.
Reviews say the ANC still works alright, but they are obviously being held back by not having a proper seal.
Just thought people should know this before spending a few hundred dollars on wireless earbuds.
Lol. Why did u get negged?
2 is not few and few is not 2 (didn't neg btw)
The lack of said rubber seal is the reason why people want this.
yep - i hate the silicon in my ear!
I was sceptical about it too but the ANC works extremely well on these.
I have a set of these any they work extremely well.
I want good noise cancellation so researched carefully and read lots of reviews claiming 'great noise cancellation' so I bought the first Apple AirPods Pro for $351 in May 2020 - got them home, tried all the different size silicone ear tips - none resulted in any noticeable noise cancellation
I wore them out walking around the city - simply waiting at a street crossing listening to a podcast I would have to turn up the volume to hearing-damaging just to be able to hear the spoken podcast over the noise of passing vehicles
I came home, put them back in the box, and didn't touch them for another 3 years - when I gave them to a friend's family kids.
So for good noise cancellation, I found Apple AirPods Pro to be a complete WOFTAM.
What I continue to use every day is my Bose QC SC - for deal price $164 in May 2024, recently $250 - deals come around regularly …
I wouldn’t compare earphones with over ear headphones.
Why is every other ebay listing sub $200? it's the same airpods 4 with ANC?
Good chance they could be fakes. I bought a set of second generations on eBay and they were remarkable fakes, even showed the exact same way on my iPhone with a serial number that says in warranty with Apple but something was off with the sound quality and the only way I discovered them to be fakes was weighing each ear bud
If you're happy to buy off an eBay seller with zero feedback/reputation, go ahead and get scammed.
Apple education store give a pair of them away for free with a new macbook. If people don't want them they are selling them for around $200
Anyone have these and the AirPods Pro? My Pro gen 1 are finished so wondering if I go gen 2 or these instead. I never really found the noise cancellation on the gen 1 that amazing.
These have great audio quality and good noise cancellation for an open air earphone, which is a feat of engineering.
The downside is bad call quality, with people on the other end complaining they can’t hear. Also unsuitable for use with MS Teams on Windows due to very low volume - occasionally works ok but mostly unusable with Teams.
I have the AirPods gen 2 & the AirPods pro gen1. Unfortunately the non pro AirPods failed on me pretty much right on 1.5 years where the left pod would often drop out after ~15 seconds of connection and the battery seems to go from 100% to auto turn off in about 30 mins of use…
Question is how reliable are these gen 4 AirPods & how do they compare to gen 1 AirPods Pro?
I love good noise canceling earphones and owns a dozen on ear headphones. Just never spends over $200 on earbuds, the risk of losing makes it not worth it, drop it while running or slip out from pockets, which happened so many times.
Cheers, bought one at Officeworks with price beat.
No longer eligible for OW price beat as they've lowered their price
