UGREEN also does Samsung SFC 2.0.
65w ugreen in my experience over heats and throttles down much sooner than this one. Just a note for anyone else who would like to use on a higher powered laptop that may need 65w min.
I was looking at either and while I had initially purchased the UGREEN one (as I have so many other UGREEN products that work well). On a whim, decided to look for other 65W GAN chargers posted here and saw your comment.
Did a search online and managed to find a video from an American Youtuber that did a direct comparison between the two models and his comments were the same as yours, the UGREEN gets hotter than the Anker under load.
Cancelled the UGREEN order and placed one for the Anker instead.
Guess it comes down to form factor preference, the UGreen one may be too wide for power board if there are other bulky plugs next to it.
I have both. The size difference is very very very small
They have different orientations, depends on how you like the USB cables hanging, may make a difference.
Bottomline is there are more than size difference, and they are certainly not identical.
For a dollar difference, you should buy the one best suit your application/placement, than saving or spending a dollar.
Is this compatible with Oppo vooc charging?
I don't believe it is. VOOC is a proprietary charging standard used by an OEM which is rarely thought about and as such not many (if any) third-party chargers support it.
Does this come with interchangable heads the swap it for another country when you go on holidays? Thanks..
No mate. You’d need an adapter.
No
Get the zyron one, it's great
I've heard Zyron is a bit dodgy personally. The Amazon reviews seem to say that it fails quite quickly.
Not my favourite. Still waiting for the newer GAN Prime model to go on a good sale.
ones with display?
Yes, I just saw that GaNPrime deal and bought one.
Whata the different between that ganprime and this?
Essentially this one has a fixed power allocation per port, whereas GANPrime can dynamically adjust the amount of power per port.
In practical terms, you’ll be able to charge more things at higher wattages at the same time with a GANPrime.
My favorite charger was the one that used to come included with the device I already purchased :(
Great charger. Highly recommend.
Got two myself in previous deals. Don't need a third… Yet
I considered this one, but ended up buying the charging station (UGreen) for $42.49 instead. A bit more versatile for my needs.
Link?
Love this charger. Have one for travel and it's been brilliant.
what's so special about this charger? i've got a macbook air and iphone 12.
It's very small, with multiple ports
and a reasonably high wattage. Neither the MaccasBook Air nor the AIfon 12 support 65w charging (only the MaccasBook Pro supports 65w charging if memory serves), hence Anker's 33w brick is a far better idea. Here's the link to that :).
I've had issues with two of these (incl. a warranty replacement) charging my Pixel 8 Pro. Charging Macbooks seems to work fine.
I've had this Anker and uGreen 65W chargers and returned them both. They cannot charge a Pixel P8P or P9P phones at full speed as they lack PPS support.
https://www.amazon.com.au/NOVOO-Charger-Compact-Foldable-Mac…
this is $28 after 30% off coupon and should work much better than Anker or uGreen since it supports PPS. I have a 100W of this Novoo charger and it's awesome. Charging tops at around 32W. Unfortunately, they've stopped selling it.
I also have a uGreen 200W charging station that charges P9P XL at full speed.
Thanks for your review, I was considering this Anker, Ugreen and Novoo models. Needed 3, after $5 discount off on orders over $59, ended up paying $26.33 per unit.
It says PPS in the title of the listing. That would have tricked me
Well, title is correct, however, Anker and uGreen 65W chargers not support all PPS voltages that Google Pixel phones use. This is something you only learn if do some research ;-)
Newb question:
Would this charge my Dell XPS 8940 laptop similar to how their supplied power pack does?
it will provide up to 65W. So, if your original charger is 65W, then, yes, it should charge it at the same speed
The Novoo lasted only a month for me. Also not capable of outputting 12V (not an official PD voltage but many chargers will accommodate)
https://www.novoo-online.com/en-au/collections/gan-charger/p…
Full specs here.
It supports PPS (Programmable Power Supply) 5V-21V meaning that it can deliver any voltage in that range, including 12V. Device being charged needs to suport PPS and request certain voltage.
With Google Pixel 9 Pro XL requiring 18V at 2A only a few chargers like Novoo suport full charging speed.
The only charger I've see supporting all voltages and PPS is UGreen GaN 200W which I own. It's an absolute beast of a charger! It weighs almost 1Kg, so, it's not a "travel charger" like say Novoo 65W or 100W
Device being charged needs to suport PPS and request certain voltage.
You know your USB friend! Unfortunately this is where I run into trouble. My 12V needs are PD trigger circuits which request a 12V fixed PDO, no PPS support.
It's odd really, the NOVOO is capable of PPS so these additional fixed profiles shouldn't cost anything to add. Zyron has always worked for me if anyone has else needs this.
@makeyouryear: I've had a look at a few other chargers, and they didn't have 12V! Agree that it's not hard to add since 12V can be delivered via PPS but not fixed PD.
May I recommend uGreen 200W GaN that is currently on special for an unreal $117 (after you apply 10% discount).
https://www.amazon.com.au/UGREEN-Charger-Charging-Station-Ma…
it supports 12V PD on all four USB-C ports. I paid $150 for it and this is the lowest it's ever been!
@vrsac: Veeery tempting but I'm not actually in the market, I appear when the word PPS appears three times in a thread. I went DIY as it suits my needs.
65W DC PD modules are ~$2 each from ali and I'd rather a dead port cost $2 not $50 (moreso the waste associated with each).
For the PSU I use an old laptop charger, free server PSU or dead GaN charger (I tore open my 120W Novoo and the rectifier/PSU portion is fine).
On that note, the charger I am most excited by (at a glance) is the Hota H24 (245W GaN PSU) and P24 (PD circuitry) combo.
It allows a similar result without the DIY as they sell the PSU separately from the PD circuitry. No need to replace the entire unit because of new charging protocols or busted ports. The H24 also looks like it is built for long life and easy repair (clear case, components not overcrowded or drowned in thermal goop).
Knowing Google's hardware division, I wouldn't be at all surprised if it's a phone issue.
$52 for me at the moment
Need Prime
then why is this in the header?

I've got a Samsung Ultra s25 and read online that using non-samsung chargers are bad for the battery - is there any truth to this?
Would like to know. Especially since I use super fast charging for the battery.
It's absolute nonsense - you'll never hear a plausible technical explanation behind these assertions.
The main causes of high battery wear are very fast charging and charging above 80% SOC.
@conrat64, @Lord Ra, @Dogsrule
I understand that S25-Ultra determine how much power to draw via charging-protocol. S25 supports USB Power delivery 3.0 or Quick Charge 2.0…more techco-stuff. If your charger & cable are not-rated to this, then MAYBE a slightly-lower-power goes into your S25-Ultra.
The only way to prove is to FACT-check with 2 BRANDED chargers & cables: 1st meet the above protocol & the 2nd doesn't…& determine the charge time differences.
Btw, Samsung allows owners to prioritise convenience @ the expense of battery-longevity…killing your battery EVEN-FASTER…wonder why ?

Is there any way to know which chargers support Samsung Fast Charge (either 25W or 45W)?
Does this one support SFC?
I find that Anker is very shifty with this info. Can't find the specs. Where else Ugreen is upfront with this info.
nah - unless it's only for home in AU use
for travelling I paid about $35 for eBay LENCENT with 6 outlets - travel adapter for international sockets, 2 USB-A sockets, 2 USB-C sockets, plus a high power 30W side USB-C socket, and a plug-through socket for AU power plugs - like this except the newer one says 65W - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005687897000.html - this says $27 but I've never bought from AliExpress and thought it was more like a wholesaler … ?
this ad for $30 looks misleading with pictures of multiple varieties but the text says 3 USB-A and 1 USB-C so I'd expect that - for https://www.amazon.com.au/LENCENT-Universal-International-Wo…
this says $27 for '2 USB A ports, 2 USB C port, and 1 socket', but I don't know the brand - https://www.amazon.com.au/Dawntress-Universal-Travel-Adapter…
My laptop needs 65w. can I charge my laptop, and a charging dock for my Pixel 7, Galaxy watch, pixel Buds all at the same time? or is that 65w split, meaning I cant charge my lappy while the rest are connected?
looks like a good unit, but as I travel regularly I still prefer my rawpower charger that takes figure 8 cables
$35.99? Why not this NOVOO model, with a free USB-C cable, for $27.99:
https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B0CRTNQT1V/ref=ox_sc_ac…
Because NOVOO is not as well known brand as Anker.
$1 cheaper if that matters:
