Hi rep, what about bise home theater systems?

  • +5

40% isn't a lot, since they jack up there prices almost 80%

    • -1

Percentages roughly double, when you mark things down.

      Eg. Cost price $100

      RRP: Cost price + 100% = $100 * (100% + 100%) = $200

      Discount of 50% : $200 * (100% - 50%) = $100

Differs slightly for other percentages but you get the idea.

  • SONY 100W 5.1ch 3D Blu-ray Smart Theatre System BDVE290

Great to see there's no over-exaggerated RMS or wattage there. :)

Just got back from Macquarie, NSW. Unhelpful MYER staff - they only had 4 systems there, they were all reduced to around $600, but as stated above the discount applies to regular price. The systems were 1 step higher than bookshelf. No buy for me - waiting for another JAMO or JB Yamaha sale :)

    Just FYI.

    • I'm quite new to the home theatre space but are there often sales on Jamo speakers? After hearing them at HN in a package at around $1800 including a Yamaha amp, delivery and wiring, I'm finding it hard to accept anything else in the sub $2k bracket which sounds decent to me! I even tried that Sony Muteki system the other day but thought apart from the bass, it sounded rubbish. JB was willing to do it for under $1k though!

Was just walking around in the Bondi Junction store and apart from the fact that the stock was extremely disorganised, unmarked prices, etc, all I saw was a sign saying "15% off micro systems" or something along those lines. Do these guys want to sell anything??

I grabbed a Sony BDVN990W down from $799 to $479.40 and included 3 BluRays in the box. A bargain at that price.

Hmm, not sure why Rep box is ticked.

    • A stray finger on a touch screen will do that.

    • I went to my local myer "southland" found a salesman and asked what system was best. He recommended the Sony BDvn990w. I just finished setting it up and I am no audio buff but it sounds sweet as. Even the mrs is happy with the sleek design. For $480 it seems like a good buy.

Was interested in this - BDVE290, but my store doesn't have any in stock. oh well, I just saved myself a couple of hundred bucks.

  • Hmm anyone know if Pioneer's wireless speakers would be included? in other words the XW-SMA1, or any of those series?

    Do Myer even sell these?

  • After visiting the Castle Hill Myer store and realising they only have (cheap) HTIB or Bose, I gave up and left.

  • yamaha sound bar not include…. :(

  • Pretty much all rubbish in the Rundle Mall Adelaide store. No staff around, bare shelves, unpriced items.

  • went to Myer store @ Macquarie Centre, NSW tonight after work.
stood in the queue and the person in front of me took the last Sony BDVN990W in stock for $497.40

my friend and I asked the salesperson about back order, this nice guy gladly took our deposit(refundable), and will call back tomorrow after they contact Sony about the stock. Hopefully they will stock up very soon.
