bit harsh? I told you it was my first post :)

It is Oz stock though, DWI is not.

        You've been a member here for almost 3 years…

36% more expensive than a place that that is offering it with an AU warranty is not a deal in my opinion hence the neg.

You even posted the price from Amazon US, so surely you must have considered purchasing from there too..

Please consider a revoke, as per the Voting Guidelines.

if it's cheaper elsewhere but won't reach everyone the original deal covered, please mention this but do not vote negative for this reason. Likewise comparing a price to a price from an overseas location, is good to point out, BUT not appropriate for a negative vote.

They are Australian websites, offering Australian warranties.

If you have to ask others if this is a bargain then you shouldn't be posting this up here.

DWI is a grey import shop and handles the warranty themselves. I suspect digitalrev is the same.

This is a good price for genuine Australian stock.

So you'd pay $53 (36%) more just for that privilege?

        some may

        Spoken like a true person-whose-never-had-to-use-warranty

        • +1

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing easier than taking a faulty product in to a local store and getting it replaced or repaired etc, but on a low value item like this, for $53 more. It's not worth it.

      • Not privilege, assurance.

        • I'm interested to know your opinions on this, at what % less than the 'AU genuine stock' does a deal sourced from overseas become a 'bargain'?

      • +1

I did the last time I bought a digital camera.

I am a keen bargain hunter but I don't think you can compare AU stock to grey imports (even though the op did). You don't get the same warranty and when you go to resell the item you will get a slightly lower price.

Not everyone is comfortable buying from overseas or via a grey import shop.

It is a successful business model (grey import) just look at Kogan. But you don't hear much about unhappy customers who had poor warranty service or were denied it altogether.

I think it's time we started to knock this "genuine Australian stock" concept on the head. Come on guys. It's a big con.

    I fully agree with gooddealmate.

Nooooooo… that's how I get my eBay items sold at a good price!!! =D
Pre-loved, worn, full of character, BUT genuine Australian stock w fast shipping.
