AU$ based on current Mastercard rate, GST inclusive and stacks with cashback.

For those paying in USD this is how you get the correct exchange rate in PayPal:

Setting overseas websites to AUD or letting PayPal do the currency conversion results in an inflated rate. To get the correct rate you need a card without international fees and do the following:

  • Set the website currency to USD
  • Checkout with PayPal
  • Select your card with no international fees
  • Click "See currency options"
  • Select USD to bill the card in USD instead of AUD
  • Proceed with checkout

Now you'll get the correct MasterCard or VISA exchange rate depending on the card.

  • AUAS06 and the other codes aren’t working?

    • Worked for me, just before I posted it here

What would be the easiest solution to connect up to an old laptop with a broken screen that has VGA output only? I'm assuming there is a simple adaptor I can use for it. Thanks.

    • +5

Find a cheapo VGA monitor. Should be practically free. VGA to DVI-D adapters might also work.

  • What is the use case for this?

    • +1

Same use case as a normal PC monitor, with the added bonus of being portable e.g. can you it with a laptop when you're out and about.

    • +1

I didn't know I needed one until they invented them. Haha. Actually, I do have one. It never gets used. Had it 1.5 years and used it twice I think. But everyone is different.

I use one like this at work all the time. I work in sales and have meetings on the go.
Mine is used to share sales data with the person / people sitting across from me at a table, saving having to huddle around my laptop or switching it between myself and them seeing the screen. It's been a real game-changer.

  • Clear, any deal for 16 or 15.6 in portable monitor? Please tag me in your next one, thanks!

    • Nevermind, I got the Firebat 16 inch that I previously missed out on. Hopefully the order is not cancelled.

  • I got one of these to put inside an old Macintosh case I was given, but it was slightly too big, even with slimline right-angled USB and HDMI cabled. I now just use it as a second screen for my laptop if I need a stream going while I do something else.

  • You can also use an iPad (I use an ancient iPad air 2) with Duet. Paid app, not great for games for video, but wonderful for text especially when zoom/teams and 2 need a 2nd screen at the cafe.

  • Anyone used these effectively as a digital nomad? Maybe not in this size, but in general. My work requires dual monitors - a laptop screen plus this would get by in a pinch, but I’ve never seen it used.

    Any experiences?

  • If you plug in ps5, Xbox series s, or Nintendo switch would it just display in 1920x1080 + black bars?

    • Ok works with my switch with the monitor being powered by the type a to C

And C to C direct to switch.

      But it's stretched!!

No idea if it's possible to have it with black bars yet

  • Great find Clear, cheers

  • is this the same spec as this? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/848998

    • +1

Pretty much. Likely same factory and everything.

  • Are there any bigger displays on offer at the moment that you’d recommend?

  • Is there any difference between this one or the ZSUS one?

  • Bought this on 20/3 it got delivered today, only 6 days for postage.

Very impressed with the monitor for the price, display is decent.

    Ordered another one, thanks Clear.

    • It's a little cheaper now with the US$6 off $30 P5ATLRS4YVU5

Does it come with a stand?

      • Ahhh should've waited for that code, second monitor purchase came to $58.xx, tried different Aliexpress accounts but got error message using original coupon 'this code is only valid for a single use'. Even at $58 it's still worth it.

Side by side with my main monitor, a crg9, this little display has deeper blacks and looks crystal clear.

It comes with a metal folding stand - nothing fancy but it does the job.

  • Plugged it into the S24 with USB-C and works great, the phone acts as the trackpad and turns the monitor into a desktop-like interface.
