    What would be the easiest solution to connect up to an old laptop with a broken screen that has VGA output only? I'm assuming there is a simple adaptor I can use for it. Thanks.

      Find a cheapo VGA monitor. Should be practically free. VGA to DVI-D adapters might also work.

      I didn't know I needed one until they invented them. Haha. Actually, I do have one. It never gets used. Had it 1.5 years and used it twice I think. But everyone is different.

      I use one like this at work all the time. I work in sales and have meetings on the go.
      Mine is used to share sales data with the person / people sitting across from me at a table, saving having to huddle around my laptop or switching it between myself and them seeing the screen. It's been a real game-changer.

    I got one of these to put inside an old Macintosh case I was given, but it was slightly too big, even with slimline right-angled USB and HDMI cabled. I now just use it as a second screen for my laptop if I need a stream going while I do something else.

    You can also use an iPad (I use an ancient iPad air 2) with Duet. Paid app, not great for games for video, but wonderful for text especially when zoom/teams and 2 need a 2nd screen at the cafe.

    Anyone used these effectively as a digital nomad? Maybe not in this size, but in general. My work requires dual monitors - a laptop screen plus this would get by in a pinch, but I’ve never seen it used.

      Ok works with my switch with the monitor being powered by the type a to C

      And C to C direct to switch.

      But it's stretched!!

      No idea if it's possible to have it with black bars yet

        Ahhh should've waited for that code, second monitor purchase came to $58.xx, tried different Aliexpress accounts but got error message using original coupon 'this code is only valid for a single use'. Even at $58 it's still worth it.

        Side by side with my main monitor, a crg9, this little display has deeper blacks and looks crystal clear.

        It comes with a metal folding stand - nothing fancy but it does the job.

    Plugged it into the S24 with USB-C and works great, the phone acts as the trackpad and turns the monitor into a desktop-like interface.
