An older Retro Handheld Console, but still decent especially with OnionOS custom firmware.

Another alternative with the same form-factor would be the TrimUI Brick, but it's currently a lot more expensive.

Specs:

  • 3.5" IPS 640x480 display
  • ARM Cortex-A7 Dual-core CPU
  • 3000mAh removable battery
  • Vibrating Motor
  • Wi-Fi Network Connection - Update OTA and Retroarch Achievements
  • Supported format: PS1, CPS, FBA, GBA, GBA, GB, SFC, FC, MD, SMS, GG, NEOGEO, PCE, WSC (and some DS and Pico-8 Games).

I highly recommend installing OnionOS game launcher and replacing the the MicroSD Card with a reputable brand such as SanDisk or Samsung.

    • Crazy value. Especially when you factor in it can do Ports, Java and Pico-8.

  • This is a great review from Retro Game Corps: Miyoo Mini Plus In-Depth Review

  • I just received my unit earlier today. I know it’s called the Mini, but woah. I had no idea how small it actually was. Cool to be such a small form factor, very difficult for me to hold/find a comfortable position.

    • This is actually the 'Plus' Model, they make a even smaller model (Miyoo Mini V2/V4).

      • That’s wild to me!

This model will still be good for leaving in my work backpack for bits of downtime, but I definitely prefer some other handhelds I own for longer sessions and better comfortability.

        • +1

I'm the same. I just use my Miyoo Mini for short burst game play. If I intend to play for a longer period, I rather my bigger device (ie. TrimUI Smart Pro/Odin 2).

I have Syncthing set up, so saves are synced across all my devices (when I have internet connection).
