Another proprietary battery type? No thanks.

better off buying one of oztio's things

5yrs on it at every bunnings and the avg, person here could run it for days nonstop with their cache of batteries

This wasn't a bargain when you posted it a month ago as skin only and buying the batteries and charger separately would have totalled $652.

Appreciate your comment, but it's a completely different deal.

Only the mower was posted a month ago, not the complete kit.

The community here expressed disappointment that you had to buy the batteries and charger separately, which is why it is now bundled together.

I think it's fair to be classed a bargain when you see the breakdown below:

Mower: Was $599 Now $349 (This is 42% off and below wholesale cost)
Charger: Was $89 Now $70 (This is 21% off and at wholesale cost)
Batteries: Were $129 Now $119 (This is 8% off and marginally above wholesale cost)

$335 in total savings or a 34% total discount is a significant offer.

Perhaps that deal isn't deep enough for you, but that doesn't mean others won't see value in it.

      • No. It isn't a deal, not even a bargain offering. It's the same offering if you factor in the cost of the previous offer on the skin and the then cost of adding 2 batteries and a charger. Wouldn't need to address that if you could comprehend English and my first statement.
A month ago it was $5 less for the lot and still NOT a bargain for an EOL ecosystem.
Be ethical and stop trying to use nonsensical numbers of "savings" to fool people into buying into an unsupported, discontinued product line.

        • "No. It isn't a deal, not even a bargain offering."

          To you, perhaps.

The perception of value is subjective.

What one person considers a deal, another might not.

The fact that this post has received multiple upvotes suggests others found it worthwhile, even if you didn’t.

Appreciate your perspective, but let’s agree to let others decide for themselves.

  • hey OP plz recommend me an electric mower to mow ~1400sqm of hilly backyard

  • First time seeing a battery-powered mower that can cut as low as 11mm, pretty impressive! Not sure if that’s just in lab conditions or if it actually holds up in real-world use though.
My ego can only go 25mm hence I hire an ICE to scalp once a year, pain in the a$s.

    • what is an ICE?

      • +1

internal combustion engine, AKA dinosaur tech if you like.

        • thanks for the clarification.

    • can't rig up a spacer above the blade to reduce cutting height? Or swap wheels?

  • Is this mower self propelled?

    • No, it's not self propelled.

  • i hope they rejigged the manufacturing of the batteries
i had 12x the 12v batteries ranging from 2.5ah to 6ah, the tools would last huge runtime

    But and they would refuse to charge every 1 in 5 goes;

All but 2 would go flashing red on entry to charger and have to change from charger a to B to C and back every time, eventually one would detect.
some would say 100% charged while in charger , but are 5-12% full on the dial when removed from charger.

got to a point i would just use a charged battery connect the batteries to charge the stupid things in series without the dumb chargers

one of them i disassembled there was heavy corrosion on the exposed USB port only the 4 5 6 ah have the USB sockets

I gave away the 2x Mowers, trimmer, hedge, trimmer and 3 blowers (no batteries of course)
cause it just wasn't worth the constant hassle of failing to charge the batteries and risk of buying more even batteries (that bunnings doesnt sell anyways)

Victa's a no-go, not since they ditched the 82V range. Not getting burned again. I think the top commenter is spot on—just go with the Ozito one.

I had a Rover that used the same battery brand, ie Briggs & Stratton. The B&S batteries I used were rubbish. Luckily it died under warranty and Rover no longer had spare parts or sold a battery range. They offered a refund which I accepted. I replaced it with an Ozito, steel deck model.

  • Yes , aren’t these Victa brands mower just Hot chinese garbage now .
If O.P. Would like to do a demo day and prove us all wrong by showing us one cutting at least 50 square meters of 6inch buffalo grass , I’m sure someone would turn up and report back .

    O.P. ? Your move .

    Sorry it can’t be me
    I don’t live in syd
    Wherever that is.
