      • +1

        bought one for myself

Will be useful for those stressful moments when i feel i want to head butt someone

        • those stressful moments —> i play the kick the boss game .. :P

    • Pick up already. Look OK for $10 drum set for young kid 2-4 year old.

  • -3

Very much the same price in Kmart for the similar drum…

  • Thanks, got 1, seems plenty of stock around

    • +8

I'm going upstairs… 'cause I'm gonna put my nutsack, on your drumset!

      • Stepbrother! Hilarious film!

  • Yes! I can finally be like Buddy Rich without the high price tag!

  • +3

bought mine for my 3yo for $20, one of the drum support broken with one week, all made of plastic.

    • shrug it's $10.

    • +4

We had one of these. Worth much less than $10 in our opinion. Broken within minutes.

    • +3

one of the drum support broken with one week

We had one of these. Worth much less than $10 in our opinion. Broken within minutes.

Agreed. The two drums broke off within minutes.

And it's smaller than it looks… http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/827/photohnw.jpg/ (controller there for scale)

      • +3

        Wow that controller is massive!

    • You can stick them back on the sides again with cable ties. Works for me.

Response from the Mrs when I sent the deal to her…
"Buy me a bigger house with his own playroom and we'll talk!"

    • +10

or buy a new mrs, any ozbargain deals from russia???

    • Its not a very big set…plus its $10…. Keep it in the garage until his birthday or christmas this year. He'll love you for it.

  • +15

I hope my neighbours are not on OzB.

    • +5

Buy one in case they are.

  • Bought one for my nieces! Thanks op

    • Was getting one for the nephews until I was warned it would be living at my place.

  • +5

I love these deals, especially since it's for my nephew so my sister has to deal with the noise. :-D

  • Parramatta shop didn't have the same but they gave 'my first drum set'for the same price. I'm sure both are same. They still have one left in their shelf.

  • Got one anyway, excellent

  • +7

is it too small for an adult? i mean …. a fiend of mine…. cough cough..

    • Yes :P

    • Well it would depend on the size of the adult. Kenny Baker (R2-D2) I'm sure would find it a great size!

      • +1

Warwick Davis (Ricky Gervais' mate) would be more fitting.

Tried playing it when I bought one for my nephew. The whole kit keeps moving away from you since it's too light.

      • This is not for you big guy.

  • +1

Bought 1 thanks OP. While you are ther, some other cheap >$10 clearance items might worth to have a look at.

    • …that's not helpful. What other clearance items?

  • +2

Had one a few years ago when my girls were a bit younger (like 3yo). They had good fun with it — until a friend's boy (also ~3yo) came over and borrowed it for 2 weeks. He had GREAT fun with it, except the whole thing got smashed into pieces.

Anyway. Cheap fun for kids (and occasional amusement for adults), but the build quality is pretty bad. Oh, don't try the stool if you are over 20kg :)

  • +1

Got one, good timing, yesterday my daughter was playing drums with plastic plates.

    • +1

now she can really make some "noise" out of the real drum set. Good luck mate.

  • Thanks OP. . GOT 2 FOR MY NEPHEWS.. GOOD LUCK BRO N SIS

  • Thanks. I just got one from Dick Smith George Street (close to Market Street) - guy said it was the last one

  • For those that bought one would this be too small for a 5 or 6 yr old? Thanks

  • Thanks, bought one for my son, he will love it.

  • This is the same one I believe Anthony from the Wiggles uses in some of the clips.
That should surely get some of the little ones excited.

  • +11

Good deal, I spent $3500 on mine

  • gonna grab one for nephew's bday next week, you are a super(hero)forever

    • I used to use that name ^.-

  • awesome deal! looks like my neighbour's kids are getting one each year! that's Christmas presents settled for 6 years!

  • I have to say this is bloody good fun, I've put three dings in the cymbal already.

    • +4

      Ah bugger, it just broke.

      • Already broken?

        • +2

The cymbal stick snapped off. Pity the kid didn't even get a play on it.

        • +1

          Go get a replacement.

        • Its okay he came home and broke the rest of it. I dont think we'll bother breaking another one.

  • Bought the last one from Gateways (WA). Also picked up Black Eyed Peas on Wii for $5.

I've been a professional drummer for the past 20 years and I can tell you that this drum kit is not worth getting. I'm guessing most of you are thinking that this will cope with life on the road while you go out touring with your band and so on, but it's not. You'd be better off with

If you're after a drum kit I'd say something like this would be much more suitable http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/280832937773?hlp=false

    • +4

Only $3389 difference….. have you pressed the wrong button? I could understand if you're having a laugh, but to neg the deal… :/

      • Yeah I thought it was a joke originally then saw they negged the deal. Bizarre.

    • +2

That's a pity because I had dreams of becoming a rock star for only $10.

    • The name says it all…….

    • don't know if its the drugs or downright stupidity

  • +2

Thanks, my brother will hate me however got one for my 2 year old twin nephews!

    • +2

Yes, your brother will hate you ;)

2 kids, but you only bought one… on the one hand you reduce noise by only having one set, but on the other you'll increase noise cos of the fighting over who gets to play it!

      • Yeah and they will break it during fighting.

  • I am going to buy this for a "friend's" kid for his birthday as revenge for them giving my kid a plaster of paris volcano kit for his birthday (probably the messiest toy ever invented).

  • is it all sold out? I just check on the website for click and collect, most of the shop is out of stock

    • Don't under estimate the power of ozbargains, a lot of place out of stock now.

  • Landmine has taken my sight
    Taken my speech
    Taken my hearing
    Taken my arms
    Taken my legs
    Taken my soul
Left me with….uh oh…with $10 less in my wallet :(

    • You'll actually need to get 2 for the double bass drum…

  • +1

Thanks OP. bought one for my 2 YR old daughter- despite me being the one who threatened to buy drum kits for my nephews just to p off the parents. Bargain is a bargain.

  • Thanks OP, just got 2 via click and collect from galleria WA. Seems to be stock for click and collect at quite a few WA stores

  • awesome thanks - just bought one for kids b'day

  • +1

I bought this 1 year ago for Christmas for $20 for my 10-month old boy. He loved it, have some good video clips of him with head down and arms flailing like Animal from the Muppets. My boy is not rough, and the cymbal broke off after around 2 months, and one of the tom skins broke after another few months. A friend of his broke off the other tom after a few minutes at it. The stool is sturdy and my boy still uses it without the kit.

$20 for a few months of fun was well spent. $10 is even better.

Some of you have asked if you could play it yourself - absolutely not - unlike other toy drum sets it doesn't have a snare or standard cymbal (it has a crash and 2 toms), so you can't even play a basic pattern. You can only play solos and make a bit of noise.

Also it's not very loud at all, it didn't bother me or my wife.

    • The sound from the toms is actually pretty good. You wonder why people spend hundreds of dollars on a tom-tom when you can get a $2 one from Dickies.

If you hit the top of the cymbal stick it sounds like a closed hi-hat. The only thing that you're really missing is a snare.

its amazing the junk people buy
