First one would require 3GB chips that aren't widely available yet (literally only the RTX 5090 mobile), second and third would be using 4GB chips, meaning they would be directly competing with some cards in the server and professional line-ups, so enterprise would promptly eat up all the supply despite having some features locked out.

3GB chips are the answer for premium GB203 and lower SKU options, but a 48 GB RTX 5090 would just increase costs for absolutely no benefit, as you're only hitting VRAM bottlenecks at 16K and above.

I think the killer products would be a 12GB 5060 Super and a 15 GB or 18 GB 5070 Super.

wow a 70 series card for $1500, absolutely insane!

      AI has entered the chat.

Is Gigabyte still blaming users and rejecting video card warranties? I stopped buying their cards after all that drama about 5 year back.

  • Love my 5070ti, but don't be conned, the frame gen 4 is pretty shite. It's artifacty as all hell.

Honestly, for this price, it should be for a 5080 Ti =="

This was approximately the price for the 1080 Ti back in the day

just get 9070 xt when it's sold for RRP. Performance is similar to 5080.

    • +3

You mean a 5070 Ti? 9070 XT is quite a bit slower than a 5080.

  • Thanks AMD

As someone who paid $1500 for a RTX4070TI in 2022 cause the RTS 4080 for $2K this price is prob as good as you will get it for 12 months.

At least you get 16GB of VRAM.

Still $400 overpriced but we're living in high AI Demand, Tariffs and Inflationary times

Jw sold out too. Says 15 days delivery but if you try to add it just says not available.

I reported out of stock but got a response saying no it's still in stock. This working for anyone else? I get a pretty clear message saying "not available" when I try and add to cart.

    • works for me and paid just now,
      Status: Processing
      Payment: Paid in Full
Let's see how it goes, but the production page is OOS now.

      • Damn must have been some weirdness on my end
