        I activated a number through Yomojo using the referral credit and My referrer and me we both didn't get any referral amount and the money is getting debited from my bank account. It has been more than a month and there is no signs of any referral credit on my Yomojo app dashboard as well …could you guys please try to fix the credit for me and refund my money. It looks to me very false advertising to me as my referrer kept on telling me that he referred a lot of people but still he didn't get any bonus credit for any one of them…..it is very frustrating….

          • @Yomojo: Brother we both did and your system is confirming that as I called your company and there were no signs of referral credit on my account….the rep on the phone clearly indicates that she can see the referral number on my account and even after that the referral credit didn't showed up on my dashboard…..you need to actually work on your referral program and don't tell a lot of people not actually putting in the number correctly because everyone here on Ozbargain knows how these things work and they try to follow the guidelines of any promo in a very serious way…..the way you giving the same reason to everyone whoever complains to you if not getting the referral credit is not right that they not putting in the referral number….indeed they are doing but your system doesn't picks it up automatically and no one is getting the referral credit…..

            • @ARUN365: If there was a valid referral it would be paid, we pay referrals every single day. A valid referral being that that YOU entered the number of a current ACTIVE Yomojo customer.

              Alternatively we see people enter the information incorrectly.

              We pay referrals every day, I know this as I see them on a daily report of promotional credits.

            I suspect that's where most people got it wrong

  • Hi OP, If I sign up and join using referral (phone number), I get $30 credit - which means 2 months of 40 GB plan for free(which is currently $14.95). Is that correct or do I need to pay the first month out of pocket ?

    • You need to pay the first month, the referral bonus is only triggered once a service is activated, but in your scenario months 2 and 3 would be free, with a 10c credit on the fourth bill.

      • but we are not sure if months 2 ans 3 will be $14.95 or the price would increase then ?

        • The current promotion will run until the end of April (likely longer), but if you sign up this month you will be paying half price for three months.

                  • @SydOzber: I saw this, and also saw the seven eSIMs we sent you, we have had plenty of customers successfully activate a service today first go.

                    The team have already done all they can to help here.

                    • @Yomojo: its 2 sims that were sent 7 different and there were only 2 distinct eSim's, of which none of them worked.

                      Your customer support themselves have admitted that it takes at least 3 different eSIM's per customer in general for them to be able to activate.

                        • @Yomojo: I cannot comment as to why your customer support lied.. please refer to the call recordings started at 6:37pm and lasted 1 hour 37 mins.
                          Discussion around average of 3 eSIM trials per activation happened in the last 15 mins. hope that helps as a feedback to improve customer support.

        • You can't prepay the first month using a referral credit, it takes up to 72 hours to process.

          However if your account is in credit for your renewals, such as via a referral bonus, then any subsequent month would be discounted/free.

  • So I've already had a Yomojo number for a month then they have this $30 referral so I signed up for my wife a number as well using my number as the referral number. Few days ago, got a call from Yomojo query about personal details for both account, asked why the address is the same, why we have the same year of birth and request 2 forms of ID to be sent to them, otherwise they will remove $30 credit from both accounts.

    Never heard of having to send 2 form of IDs just to get some referral credit so I told them to shove the credit up the ar** out of principle…and they did. They took the credit from both account but not sure if they follow my advice.

      Got a personal response from top management of Yomojo. They've reinstated the credit for both accounts and turn the frown upside down. As a fairly new company, I'm glad they're trying hard to rectify legitimate complaints and retain the reputation.
      Retracted my neg.

    • You need to have an active service with Yomojo, when you cancel your last service any credit is removed.

  • I have referred to a friend and still waiting on credits.Its been like 2 weeks already. I contacted customer service.They said they will sort it out but still can't see credits on our account.

    • If the number was entered correctly on the order then it would be there in a few days.

      • As I've said above, around 15 people asked me for referral, some have confirmed they've used my number, but I got 0 credit so far.
        Something's fishy about this promo. Watch this space…

          Same here. I have had at least 10 referral request in the past few weeks and some have confirmed they've used my number but I received $0 credit.
          It is highly unlikely that all these people somehow forgot to enter the referral number or entered an invalid number.
          Something is definitely fishy.

          • @jackofspade: You'd be surprised how often mistakes are made by people filling in order forms….

            If they want to check up on their referral credit, have them email [email protected]

            Please note that you cannot follow up these referrals, the customer who put your number in needs to do this.

          Please note they apply from 3 days POST activation of a service, not when a service is ordered.

            The excuse of people making mistakes filling out forms is beyond (insert a swearword). Copy and paste has been around for 30+ years.
            Getting US to contact random people and asking them to email you???

              People often make mistakes with orders, the team quickly fix these. You do know though that the promo is meant for family and friends, so if they made a mistake you should have no issue getting them to fix it.

              Yomojo is obviously not the provider for you, and I wish you all the best with whatever provider you use in the future.

                @Yomojo: If it's meant for family and friends then why do you allow random referral?
                It is disingenuous to let people signup with random referral but don't give them the credit unless they bother to chase it up.

                • @jackofspade: We give everyone who enters the correct info a referral bonus.

                  My point was that giving your number to randoms on the internet makes it hard to chase up if they don't enter the number correctly. A lot easier if you know the person.

                  Referrals are processed each day, and account for 20% of our orders.

                  Our new billing platform will make auditing these referrals much easier, there will be a dedicated section in the dashboard.

      We process the referral within 72 hours, so your next recharge would be $0.00 with potentially left over credit for your next recharge.
