I have had soo much bad stuff happen, the worst was I ordered a family box of Chicken, got home and it was raw inside. Got the sh*ts and took it back straight away, walked in and asked for the manager. They got the manager for me in his nice back shirt and he pulled the chicken apart and said straight away in front of me and about 10 other customers ordering and waiting “Yep I wouldnt eat this”
The Oportos I’m talking about is the Burleigh 4220 store. Always over cooked and the guy who runs it, is on cloud 9 all the time, Off his head. We rocked up to get a whole chicken meal at 645pm Saturday night once, and he told us he is not cooking up anything and was closed to go home and make some cookies, seriously WTF! That is just one of the many stories I have about the joint

There is very little value in 'fast food' these days. I also do love Oporto, but the claim that 2 whole chickens + sides feeding 8? Reckon it just about feeds 4x 8 year olds…. For what its worth though, $60 is pretty par for course for fast food these days and let be real, that's very expensive.

Technically that's more than 8 times 1/3 of daily average calorie intake. Maybe people should stop eating 16000k+ calories everyday in this economy…Could also alleviate the pressure in our healthcare system.

Double chicken feed is 39860kj (according to Doordash) which is 9535.9 calories or a bit under 2400 calories divided by 4 people.
However going 1 by 1 off the Oporto's site:
At 6175, that's 3 average people's daily intake, or 2 people could squeeze it in. Must mean the "whole chicken" ain't much.
Feeds 8 means feeding 8 people for 1 meal, not 1 day, right?
If they had a split into 3 meals per day in mind, the kj recommendation would then say 2900 instead of a daily recommendation of 8700.
but imagine splitting this by 8. quarter of a very small chicken per person, half a serving of SMALL chips each, half of a pita bread each. Unless you're feeding a family of 8 primary schoolers, you ain't feeding 8 people even for 1 meal. last time i checked, australia isn't home to the small and skinny

Stores think they can charge whatever they want. No wonder take aways and restaurants are struggling and shutting down all over the place. What a ridiculous mindset… If a restaurant is in bad shape, they're supposed to lower their prices to get people in the door or have some fantastic specials. You dont hike up the prices so you get even less customers.
Love Oportos but my local one is soo bad I will never go back
