    Pretty crappy “benefits”.

    Also Latitude… Yuck…

Went through the transfer from Amex to Latitude. Amex was perfect, final billed, great customer service the whole time. Amex CS could always waive bills or charges and were super flexible.

Latitude though….my god it was horrendous. Missing points, extremely slow payments, terrible off-shore customer service who didn't have functioning systems to support anything. Latitude CS was completely unable and unwilling to do anything when it came to issues with fees or interest or points. Not to mention the ridiculous wait times to even speak to someone.

Quite sure this or similar variations have always been around for the DJ credit cards. Free first year or equivalent in points upfront etc.

  • How many complimentary lounge passes with Priority Pass? I couldn't find

    • David Jones Prestige credit cardholders are eligible for two (2) complimentary Priority Pass lounge access per calendar year. More than two complimentary visits to the Priority Pass airport lounges will incur an additional US$35 per member/guest visit. Pre-authorisation with a nominal value of USD$1 is applied during mobile app registration and accessing the lounge. The retention of the USD$1 will be removed usually in couple of days. You must adhere to the Priority Pass Conditions of Use and Terms of Use.

So not a bad deal, considering it's free for the first year. Still on the citi card from years ago, that was great.

Also includes a free facial, which they value at 125.

      • Stupid question, would it be worth getting it for the 2 complementary passes? Perhaps for 1 year. Is there a reason i shouldn't?

        • You wouldn't want to get it if you want to avoid a credit check on your report. There are a few benefits to the card, just a case of weighing up against other offers.

I'm still one of the Citi for life deal people, so I get 2 PP a year and there are some excellent lounges, like last year went to the Chase lounge in Boston as it was almost like a first class lounge.

If you are planning on going on a holiday to middle east, some banks offer debit cards that offer from 6 to unlimited lounge visits

The one i got for a one off ~ $10 Aud issue fee gives me mastercard dragon pass free unlimited entry to lounges

Even has a digital dragon pass card in the app

      • Can you please share which one?

        • Jordan Islamic Bank Mastercard Titanium Debit card but other banks have similiar offerings

      • Huh? You can get this even just a foreigner and have no fixed address?

        • Depends on bank and mainly your connections.

Currently in a lounge as we speak

    • Just 2

David Jones is offering Credit Cards now? Can't they just stick to what they're good at? 🤔

David Jones have offered credit cards for decades. But they got into trouble when they were flogging their old Amexes https://www.reuters.com/business/finance/australian-court-fi…

      • If signing up, do it in store and fish for an extra 20% off on top of whatever you are buying. Because they are doing what they did with Amex again. Offering discounts for sign ups.

When I moved to Sydney, my first CC was from DJ sign-up at the store in Parramatta for due to promotion. I think that was more than 25yrs ago.

  • I have a 28 degree CC and a DJ credit card, both Latitude.
I thought DJ card was free forever! If it's only 1 year, not worth keeping it!

28 degree CC is better, in that you get free international purchases. DJ card charges a fee.

DJ Amex was better back in the day.
