I believe this is the new ATL.
Great for researching your local candidates prior to heading to the poll.

Depends what you're doing, if you're gaming in 4k the difference is pretty negligible and you get double the cores / threads. I'm on a 9800X3D that I got for $830, but if I was buying new today I'd probably go with the 9950X
That is a good price! I actually think I am going to hold off and go for a 9900X3D. Seems it'll give good gaming performance without sacrificing quite as much productivity as with the 9800X3D.
Just be aware the 9900X3D is a 6 + 6 core design, so it's been shown to suffer vs 9800X3D in games / apps that are designed for 8 core stuff. Hardware Unboxed had a good look at it from memory
@kudoz: From my perspective, my current 3900x to the 9800X3D, it would be a ridiculous jump either way, so the the drop in the performance would likely be unoticable since the only work I do is a lot of lightroom editing (personal, not professional) - does that logic make sense though?
Wow really?!? I was looking at Tom's hardware and it seems to be a bit further behind 4k gaming? Can you show me where the 9950x is the same, might sway me for an upgrade!
Just tried digging around more, hard to find 4K focused reviews but you're right, it is a bit further behind. The Gamer's Nexus review of the 9950X3D is interesting in the 1440p gaming area though, shows the 9950X is pretty close to the others.
170w TDP
Nuclear reactor sold separately (unless we cut Medicare)
Tough call between this and a 9800X3D for a similar price…
