    GOG does extra work to make sure it runs on modern systems. They also have a refund program, if it doesn't run on your system you can get a refund.

    Old 90's games either windows or dos need extra steps. Get dosbox and emulate the game, try compatibility mode (can be useless for most old 80-90s PC games)

    I miss my Tie Fighter CD-ROM!, some media came with the Creative Labs SB16 and CD-ROM kit.

      The sound cards sound back then sounded so futuristic, even to this day even though it has that shhhhhh sound.
