OZB_SEPMEGA_$500OFF

Hi OzBargain,

Another fantastic all rounder rig today with a 1TB drive instead, and OzBargain's favourite upgraded motherboard on the newer B650E platform as the base model for people that want the best value possible without the 2TB drive. Currently, purchases with the NVIDIA RTX 5080 OR 5070 Ti ONLY BEFORE the 22nd of September will also get a bonus free copy of Borderlands 4 valued at $109.95*. Well more than enough grunt with any of the GPUs offered in this rig for 1440P gaming.

✅ 8+2+1 @ 80 A DrMOS VRM motherboard with higher-current DrMOS phases and stronger heatsinking than the MSI B650M Gaming PLUS (53 A MOSFETs). Supports PCie5 and 3x M.2 SSD slots. An upgrade available to B650 EAGLE ATX at only $60 with 12+2+2 phases VRMs vs others that have much poorer VRM configurations and no PCIe 5 support
✅ Ideal and sweet spot speed and lower latency RAM for X3D CPUs with SK Hynix A-Die 6000MHz CL28 vs others that are typically CL36 which will have lower performance
✅ Reliable and likely B tier InWin PSUs on all builds that are PCIe 5.0 and ATX 3.0 ready vs others that are not listed or Bronze rated
✅ Highly reviewed, reliable and the world's largest manufacturer of SSDs as the base model with the Kingston NV3 (R: 6000MB/s | W: 5000MB/s) vs others
✅ Minimalistic air cooler design, better build quality material and operates quieter at approximately 25 dBa
✅ Front mesh panel design from MSI with 6x auto RGB fans for better thermals compared to the typical fish tank cases on the market
✅ A more affordable RTX 5070 Ti and RX 9070 XT GPU option is available as an alternative for the same system offering (with 750W PSU)

      They're coming… I am waiting…

    • Just a random FYI, see under every comment is that word "hide"? Click that and you'll get the option to hide all comments from that user.

As long as you're logged in, you'll never see that user's comments again.

      • That's a good call in general. However, I actually don't know anything about mushroom's previous posts. I posted first last time and Nebula replied I had beaten mushroom.

    • Can I get a quick rundown on what this means?

      • Seems like mushroom always chimes in on these PC deals to point out where (he thinks) they are deficient and overpriced.

Gee whiz PC prices coming down over time and prior to an imminent new GPU release, who woulda thought? Absolutely no one else could’ve predicted this!

Can you set some targets on a Toyota next? I’m on the market for a new car.

    • +6

Can you lower your targets to $0? I don't want to spend more than that on a 9800X3D 9070XT build…

100% agree but remember most people are usually arses on ozbargin so even if you display facts they will neg you.

      • +1

But the deal where your comments got negged for negative 'facts' is the same deal that marshmall0w2 was actually saying was a decent deal. Don't try and pretend you are on his side now just because you got your feelings hurt.

I have a question, as one of the consumers you advocate for. Can I build this, retail, myself, for the same price or less. With the same parts?

    • Were you abused by your father?

    • Genuine question - not interested in anything else: what is the best value gaming PC i can get for 2k? Im assuming i will have to build it myself rather than getting a prebuilt?

  • Can I just go to ur store and place the order there? Do u guys accept cash?

    • +1

Yes, however lead time will be the same as they are built to order. Let us know when you plan on dropping by!

      • Can we walk in your store and build it ourselves? or you mail the parts?

        • +3

This isn't possible, sorry. The system will need to be built by us completely and be working before pick up or despatch. We've had too many issues in the past with parts only supply, and our business isn't set up for this, unfortunately. It is our sole responsibility to ensure the end user has a good experience; we can't accommodate these requests anymore.

  • +1

Are you guys able to cancel/change orders from a few days ago (which presumably haven't been built yet) since the price is about $200 cheaper for same spec (but with a better mobo!) with this deal? I've sent am email to CS.

    • +3

Yup definitely can, we'll get back to you ASAP and have it swapped over :).

I really wanted the ASUS TUF B650EM-E motherboard though since it has 3 m.2 slots as well so it worked out well. Nebula were quick to offer me options to either take a refund (but with CC surcharge) or put the credit towards another upgrade so I ended up topping up a little to add the 64GB RAM option.

  • Ok this 5080 build is getting close to the 5090 build I want from you guys.

Better mobo and cl28 ram is what I was mostly waiting for. Would love 5090 deal with 1 or 2 tb gen5 m.2 as an option and im in.

Is that new 650 on the 5080 build gen5 support of the mobo for both m.2 and gpu?

    • The TUF B650EM-E supports PCIe 5 on both the M.2 (M.2_1 slot ONLY) and GPU. We have Lexar NM1090 1TB Gen 5 drives, but price still I think isn't the most OzBargain friendly. If you're interested, we can add this option for you. As for the RTX 5090 likely also not the most OzBargain friendly at this stage however, we can try.

      • What's the price though? I reckon it would $6k. :)

        • 6k is my max spend so it may just sneak under that amount.

  • This is a very nice build/ price. Crying over my 9070XT/7800X3D combo I bought in March 😭

    • +4

Haha, that still is a really really powerful rig! IT is a fast-moving industry and pricing is always changing, the best time to buy is when you're ready. If you were ready back then and have been gaming since March, I would definitely say no regrets whatsoever, it will still be a good rig for years to come.

    • +1

Thank you for your interest! Unfortunately not, we have cases quite similar to them if you like. Pricing won't be good with that particular case. If you're after just this case we can order it in retail and charge the cost difference if you prefer.

      • +1

        Thanks for the reply!
Incredible you can do that for customers honestly. Thanks so much!

  • I bought 7700 + 9070XT combo a few weeks ago. Delivered to Melbourne fast and packaged good.
Anyone considering going for 9070XT, upgrade your PSU.
My PC always crashes in games unless GPU is undervolted -60mv and -500Mhz.

    • Thank you for your kind words. Super strange, shouldn't be having any power-related issues for that build. It could be something else, potentially.

    • From your post history it looks like you got this PSU: MSI MAG A750GL PCIE5 750 W. That one has plenty of headroom for 7700 + 9070XT and isn't a trash PSU so I'm pretty sure you got a dud GPU, I'd contact Nebula about it.

      • I will send them email.

I tried investigating it at first, clean W11, new drivers, Ram speeds, etc, etc. Can see in AMD Adrenaline on default setting GPU core spikes the boost to 3100-3200mhz occasionally and games crash. Dune Awakening, World of Warship, CSGO. doesn't matter resolutions or quality settings.
Most of the posts on reddit end up resolving this issue by undervolting and dropping boost frq. Everyone with a larger PSU don't seems to have these problems.
        I am not sure…

        • +1

Hmm… I wonder if maybe 1 8pin connector got dislodged in shipping? Have you checked if both connectors to the GPU are properly plugged in?

          • @AreYouAWiiizard: Interesting. I will check. It's plausable because with the undervolt total GPU power never gets above 300 watts.

            • @Dim Sim: Good ideas but you should contact Nebula about this. Also can you please post the resolution for us to see.

            • @Dim Sim: Did you get this sorted?

My pal is interested in this Nebula build with the 9070XT.

              • @giordan0: Unfortunately, it's not "sorted" yet. Checked the GPU cables, and I have completed some tests that the store rep requested via chat. Including DDU+GPU driver reinstall, testing with a separate Windows install(I have USB SSD with W10 on it) and a fresh set of drivers, different games, etc. I have to keep the GPU -65mv undervolted and -500 MHz underclocked from the default settings to stop it from crashing.
I'm unsure of the solution at this point, as the PC is used daily for business and taking it offline would be inconvenient. Waiting for the store rep to reply.

You should not be having issues with that PSU on that build. My 9070XT barely gets over 300W under 100% load (flight sim 24 at 4K)

Check everything is plugged in correctly or consider RMA’ing the system as the card or PSU are faulty

  • Any chance of getting a 5070 deal again? The other one is expired

The code is working for that RTX 5070 deal now :).

  • Any chance on an X670E or X870 motherboard option?

  • great deal! wondering if i need to upgrade my rtx 3080 PC..

    • I think you do. 4K FTW!

  • Any feedback on this one?

Curious why you chose the 2TB 990 SSD and upgraded to 850w PSU.

      • Have been using Samsung SSD for over 10 years now. Performance is also better and bigger size.

I like modular PSU, plus slightly higher capacity for future proofing I guess.

I think the SSD upgrade options pricing is a bit funny when I read it which makes it seem so obvious which are the options to go for.

          Base: 1TB Kingston NV3 M.2

          Update options:

          *1TB KLW KRAS C930 Gen4 +$85
          *1TB Samsung 990 Pro Gen4 +$175
          *2TB Samsung 990 Pro Gen4 +$180
          *2TB Lexar NQ790 Gen4 +$170
          *4TB Lexar NM790 Gen4 +$180

What I'm confused by is why 1TB to 2TB for 990 Pro is only $5 difference; which makes sense why you'd go 2TB over 1TB.
But even the Lexar drive, only $10 difference to go from QLC 2TB to MLC 4TB.

For me I went with the 4TB Lexar drive given price difference and at the time, the mobo which came with the other PC only had two m.2 slots so I didn't want to waste them - but now with the TUF mobo having 3… maybe it wasn't necessary to go 4TB!

As for the PSU; fair enough. Given I went modular with my last DIY build and then realised I never ended up taking advantage of the modularity, I decided not to bother this time around.

@jace88: Wow, you guys are quick on the Samsung 2TB 990s. We had some old stock for them and had a much lower price for them than now. All orders with the Samsung SSDs with the previous pricing will be honoured and fulfilled.

I've bought 2 computers from nebula. A workstation and an Ai/gaming system.

I've found them to be a a pleasure on both occasions.

Computers are rock solid. I've referred them on & have had others buy from them, with similar happiness levels.

My only gripe with them, is that they gave me the run around for an itemised invoice for the last system (which I never got).

Techfast on the other hand, not only gave an itemised invoice, but serials for all their components.

Having said that, I would never buy from techfast again.

    But I keep referring nebula.

    My 2 cents

    • What was wrong with techfast?

      • techfast has garbage customer support and crap website

      • Customer support was awful. I had a major issue with my computer, and everything was done via email. It was extraordinarily frustrating

    • i asked nebula for an itemized invoice twice AFTER payment of my custom pc, said they will only give it to me when build was complete

      • Yep, I asked 3 times after payment and delivery. Never got it. I just took a screenshot of the build & have an email noting the changes I requested. But admittedly they should be better here.

        • Have you received your tax invoice yet, itemised? We process this daily and are currently not aware of anyone not receiving it. Please check your email and email us again if you have not received it. This isn't normal and we'd like to have it recitifed ASAP.

Please note we only send it after it has been dispatched, hence the first time you asked after payment, it wouldn't have been sent. Sometimes changes are made as you have requested for your system build.

      • That is correct, we will only send the tax invoice once the system is ready for pick up or despatched, as sometimes there may be changes before then.

Thank you for your support and feedback! We really appreciate your kind words and referrals. Please let me know if you still haven't received an itemised invoice. This shouldn't be an issue, and we are processing these daily. I apologise for the runaround, please email us and we will have it rectified today.

Not a problem, you guys keep making solid computers and we're good.

Appreciate it, I emailed a short time ago.

Edit: they have now sent the itemised invoice! That was quick!

  • Ordered the 5070 Ti build. Looking forward to receiving it!

  • Ordered as my old 1080 GPU decided to die before long weekend off from work :(. Hopefully can pick up soon

    • Interesting choice. I was so intrigued by the Lian Li case but when I realised it doesn't come with case fans it turned me off.

      • I dont want rgb fans. Will add non rgb fans separately if needed

        • have you read feedback about 5090's in that case? do temps manage well?
