  Not the most direct option to Europe but those are some fantastic prices for flights on a couple of very good airlines. Interesting fact; the Kuala Lumpur to Abu Dhabi flight is actually on Virgin Australia!

    the Kuala Lumpur to Abu Dhabi flight is actually with Etihad. Etihad and Virgin Australia share this flight route!

    That flight only operates once per week. The rest of the week it is a regular Etihad plane.

  I just flew this option on the "Depart Trip" at Dec 2012 last year from Melbourne to Paris and only one stop-over on the "RETURN Trip"

  Just a short information, the flight Melbourne -> KL with Emirates departs at 3:00 AM at Mid-Night, which is pretty terrible and need to arrive early if you're taking public transport.

  Mine:
  Melbourne -> KL -> Abu Dhabi -> Paris
  Paris -> Abu Dhabi -> Melbourne

  This One:
  Melbourne -> KL -> Abu Dhabi -> Paris
  Paris -> Abu Dhabi -> KL -> Melbourne

      Yepp… There's only one flight from Melbourne to KL Departs 3am Melbourne and arrives 8AM at KL..

      Which also has long transition time of 10+ Hours Minimum at KL

    You'll be very lucky to find a cheap flight in December. This is peak as everyone returns home for Christmas.

  Its ridiculous how a direct flight to dubai or abu dhabi costs more on Emirates/ Etihad respectively , So your better off visiting europe and adding a stopover if you are interested in visiting the Emirates .

    Lots of competition for flights to Europe and not much competition for direct flights to UAE I guess.

  I'd also check the Emirate site direct even though this says 'call only'. You might get good prices as Emirates were having a sale.

    Emirates won't let you book a combination ticket with Etihad.

      I meant check Emirates for tickets to Europe without combining with Etihad. Stopover at Dubai to Europe.

  Anyone know roughly the best time to buy? Should I be waiting for a sale similar to this one.
