tbf these a shitty little wireless single cone speakers with a laptop psu to run them so people with bose soundbars can get some rear action (!)

which then beggars the question if all it is is a plastic shell with some dinky cones inside and some wifi like tech running a pair of laptop psus then why is it $400???

      you know why

Tbh all brands charge around this price for wireless rear speakers as an addon for a soundbar

The casuals should be paying a premium. They want the easiest possible experience and don't want to know what not. Use them to fund serious equipment for those willing.

      His father's stereo blows!! Weeeeeeee

  • Norman Ross, you've done it again!

  • These regularly go below $400. Usually it’s 422-424 then Jb has their $30 perks etc

  • $416 at the good guys commercial. Can often get them to price match. I've seen these below 400 pretty often.

  • Does it worth it?

    • Not really, but I haven't done the ADAPTiQ calibration yet

I’ve had this for years and highly recommend it as an add-on to the Bose Soundbar 500 or 700, especially with the Bose Bass Module.
For the best surround sound experience, cover with 1–2 socks on the speakers, position them properly, then run the ADAPTiQ calibration.

  • Any recommendations for decent rear speakers to replace some aging Aaron SS-120's in a 5.1 setup?

Any decent bookshelf should do, but ideally something that's matched (or similar) to your fronts - depending on the location/mounting, there's also some good on-wall options now too.

Try Krix, Monitor Audio, SVS, Polk Audio, Paradigm, etc.

Or hit up marketplace for something a few years old that's in good condition.

  • This reminds me to sell mine as I already moved to Sonos.

I just bought the white ones (which are NEVER on sale) from the Bose website, using the 10% off for newsletter signup, bringing the total to $380.66.
