One of the 1 star reviews on amazon:
'Used it around 5 times and it ran out of gas'
    😅

    • Interesting - because plasma lighters don't have gas in them. The Amazon description even says "no fuel, no gas" 🤣🤣

Because the don't have a flame, I didn't think that the worked very well for candles. They are supposed to work OK for lighting gas burners because the plasma basically creates a "spark" AFAIK.

Arc lighters work perfectly fine for lighting up candles. I've got a 7+ year old unit that still work fine even now (tested it again just now). Just have the candlewick between the prongs, fire the arc up for a couple of seconds, and the candle's lit.

(Getting mosquito incense started is a bit harder, but still doable.)

Do note that this is not a testimonial for the version in the deal. For all I know, these cheap ones could suck pretty badly compared to the arc lighter I have.

      • I’ve had this 2023. Good for candles and burners. Still going strong despite being diddled regularly by a 7yo.

      • It works pretty well for candles. The title even says it's a candle lighter + the image shows a candle.

I have a couple of these. It creates a plasma arc that you can put the wick through.

The amazon reviewer probably forgot that this is rechargeable 😂

I've bought one in the past. Terrible. Don't waste your money. Takes ages for the spark to actually light anything.

Bought that one to light our gas cooktop, it died after a week, Amazon refunded it, then we got this one, only been a few months but it's a far better design and hasn't missed a beat.

bought from above deal, use them everyday and they are still working

      • Same. I got a pair from this deal. Use if quite frequently and they still work.. The only annoying thing is they need a micro usb cable to charge.

        • yes and the charging port doesn't work properly need tweak to let it work

  • The picture looks like a micro usb to recharge, can anyone confirm?

      Yes confirm. Don’t buy

  • Yep.

    Plastic trigger is crap

    No usb c :(

  • Works as a taser too? 🤣

  • I have one that charges with USB-C. It works, just don’t get your fingers too close whilst clearing any wax that may get stuck at the plasma point as it hurts. The battery itself is a cheapie and degraded quickly after a month or two but is still good enough for a few nights usage lighting a dozen candles each time.

  • Can I use this for ripping cones?

  • Bought same one from a different seller for $7.49 off Amazon 2 weeks ago, so this really isn't a deal IMO.

  • great tool to torture the insects with

  • Price changed now rip

  • can i use this to light the gas cookers ?

  • Fine but not child safe. There is a switch and a button but the switch isn't spring loaded which would make it child safe.

Lighters aren’t child safe either. This is an alternative to a lighter. Maybe keep things that could stay a fire away from your kids?

      • Lighters are child safe. You appear to not be. Back to your keyboard mate.

Thats for disposable lighters, it has nothing to do with regular lighters like a zippo.
