Sprout Grandstand Soundbar $89 (Was $299) (Limit 900 Code Uses) @ Telstra (Telstra ID Required)

520
APPSBAR70

Another day another deal, kinda boring compared to the other better deals so far.

Deals I've recieved so far:
(30/04) APPDRONE90: ZXM-D200 Drone ($24)
(02/05) APPBUDS80: Galaxy Buds 2 ($49)
(05/05) APPFRY80: Philips 2000 Series Airfryer XL ($46)
(06/05) APPMAV88: Maverick Hybrid Bluetooth speaker ($19)
(??/05) APPBUDS73: Pixel Buds Pro 2 ($99) got released/leaked early?
(??/??) APPPIXEL: Pixel 9 Pro ($699) leaked by Telstra employee

I think the next deal is on Friday according to the ads I’m getting on Instagram, they don’t seem to have a set date which is annoying me.

    Will skip this one

Yeah me too, not as exciting as some of the other deals they had before. I’m bummed that I missed out on the pixel buds cause I was looking at those.

  • yep, skipping htis

Man, where are you guys finding these?

These are meh, but very sad I missed the pixel buds pro 2. I had a full switch in mind after the pixel. But very lucky I got the phone.

Also all this is doing is showing me bad their app is. It’s not terrible but god is it slow and everything that is actually useful, it just opens up a browser lol. Who needs that.

As they released the pixel 9 early, hopefully they replace it will pixel 9 pro XL later lol

    • Following this lol xD

  • Not interested in this. Never heard of this brand. Thanks op

    • …and Googling doesn’t show up much either. Will save my $89 this time. Tks OP for posting.

  • Pass but thank you OP

don't even know the drone and air fryer deal

    • I'm starting to think it's randomised considering people seem to be getting different deals?

  • Wonder if there will be a deal APPWATCH## 😏

  • Never heard of this brand. Is it any good?

No. Back when I worked at Telstra the retail stores were taken over by a retailer called "Vita Group" previously "Fone Zone". Sprout was their "home brand" which at the time replaced all the in store brands that Telstra had in the company owned shops (think Belkin, Cygnett etc). Even some of the higher ups referred to Sprout products as "cheap Chinese junk". Maybe they have gotten better over the years but when I was selling Sprout products - no they weren't any good.

Thanks, shame I just completed the purchase before reading this. Whoops…

Hopefully, it’ll at least be better than my TV’s built-in speakers (TCL C655) :|

        • +3

You can always cancel if not happy. If you have nothing it's probably decent enough and will be an awful lot better than built in ones.

          • @Borg: How do you cancel.
            Can't find the option anywhere

        • I highly doubt this cheap soundbar will even compete with the native speakers

          • @Chizzle: Seriously, you think TV’s built-in speakers of TCL C655 (or most TVs) would be better than this. Eh, I doubt it.

            • @Borg: This is a zero brand equity cheap piece of trash, there is a high chance less R&D went into this than the native speakers on a TCL, a brand that actually has equity.

I wouldn't touch a no-brand soundbar with a ten foot pole, although to be fair I wouldn't use a soundbar ever, if you want better audio splurge on an AVR and a set of quality speakers. Dedicated 2.1 setup will be 10x better than this "Sprout" garbage

              • @Chizzle: My point more related to that the tiny speakers in many slim TVs these days are attrocious (thinny). Even a small portable bluetooth speaker will sound better.

  • I have no idea how this soundbar is but thanks OP bought one ;-)

Any similar league soundbars for comparision?

    Promo code no longer works

  • +1

I have receieved the soundbar, honestly, it is one of the worst soundbars I have ever seen. Posting this if anyone comes up with a deal on this product in future. Save your $$ folks

    • Safe to say avoid this brand I feel.
