Ozito PXC 18V Brushless 60nm 13mm Hammer Drill PXBHS-600 - Skin Only $49.75 (Was $99) in-Store Only @ Bunnings

390

Just wanted to let everyone know this deal hasnt expired

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/882651

https://bunnings.youinstock.com.au/search/0467368

(you can filter by your local stores, then click each one to view local pricing)
some people have got them for $35. receipts in the comments. Try your luck getting the manager to price match

the item has simply been removed from bunnings website.

Spent ages researching for a brushless hammer drill only to accidentally stumble upon that above deal. Then the Youinstock link showed there was plenty of stock

checked my local bunnings and they had 6 left. Just tucked away on another shelf where i think they keep customer returns and end of life product lines

sealed new in box for around 50 bucks. Used the savings towards the $129 4 battery combo with 2 fast chargers

still came out ontop over buying ryobi

just punch in your local bunnings for stock

the $50 discount and extra torque makes it a better deal than the current model at $99

also grabbed a craftright tool bag set for $15. 2 bags included. Its not as thick as the expensive ones and doesnt have a padded or plastic bottom. But durable enough. just add a layer of scrap EVA foam. its a toolbag not a birken

edit just for clarification. this is NOT a rotary drill whose purpose is specialised for drilling into stuff like bricks. THis is a general purpose drill that happens to have a hammer function that can do small brick drilling jobs. like a small hole to mount shelves and cameras into brick

good time to ask if anyone can recommend a budget set of drivers and bit sets?

    • +1

Don't go Craftright, they are crap and rubbish. Go for the Full Boar. I find them to be the best value and good pricing.

      • Agree

      • do you mean these?
        https://www.bunnings.com.au/full-boar-40-piece-impact-torsio…

i got the craftright bags only. not bit set

what about the Impact bit set?
        https://www.bunnings.com.au/full-boar-40-piece-impact-torsio…

i went with irwin tools. should i change?

        • Yes I’ve got those. Irwin is still good but I find Full Boar best bang for buck.

          • @geekcohen: thanks. i was eyeing them in store but hesitated on the name as ive never heard anyone mention them, so sounded like generics. glad to know theyre reliable. ill pick them up next time i need them

            Onepass free delivery ftw

            • @furythree: Full boar is an ozito sub-brand. Seems to be a bit better quality than ozito branded things so it might be their premium badge. It does feel like they’re trying to piggy back on the more expensive Diablo branding.

XU1 is their budget brand, btw.

Those impact bits are pretty good, I haven’t had any issues beyond normal breakage rates. The case is pretty sturdy too.

              • @KentT: my god this explains so much lol

                so is diablo also good/premium?

both were just hanging off a hook in blister packs. made them look like the cheapie Ryobis next to them so i wasnt sure and opted to be safe with irwin tools

I reckon the Milwaukee bit set in the link below is about the best value, and the best quality you will get at the moment at $49. Even comes with masonry drill bits.

I have been using Milwaukee bits for over a decade and I reckon they are up there with the best. Also It's not often they offer a kit like this for the price.

Also for what its worth, Full Boar is owned by Einhell, Never used anything made by them, but their stuff looks good.

I bought the regular hammer drill for $59.98. What's the difference between that one and this one asides from price?

    • +2

brushless - more torque, finer control and better battery life

      • what you said

also heats up less, so runs longer, uses less battery

also this model is more torque than the current latest top end brushless hammer drill

        even comes with the handle

im assuming as part of enshittification of everything. they released the new one with less torque and no handle accessory for same original RRP to keep costs down

        • +1

also this model is more torque than the current latest top end brushless hammer drill

          Yeh I don't think so

          • @parad0x: I've got the 1.8J hammer drill one step down from this one (PXRHS-180) - it's terrific, drills through brick like butter and goes through rock reinforced concrete smoothly too.

Haven't used the jackhammer function yet.

            • @Twirlypiglet: @Twirlypiglet I think you have a Rotary Hammer Drill man, they are meant for bricks and concrete. This is a more of a general purpose drill imo!

              • +1

@rio46: Yep that's correct, I was replying to the link provided by parad0x.

I've also got the Ozito brushed hammer drill/driver which worms fine albeit slowly for bricks but also as an all purpose

              • @rio46: yeah these guys are confusing the hammer function with the rotary drills

the rotarys go thru brick like butter but are too big for anything else

the deal i posted is a general purpose drill with bonus hammer function to tap a small hole into brick to mount a camera or shelf or something

if u were adding posts to a cocnrete slab ud use a rotary

the model in this deal thats discontinued has a slightly 10-15% higher torque plus handle attachment than the current one listed on the bunnings site. i checked the spec sheet and verified with comments from the last time it was posted

            • @Twirlypiglet: It would have to be a very small job to use cordless for a jackhammer.

But a cordless rotary drill is still far more powerful than the above. Goes well with a compact drill in your Ozito collection.

          • @parad0x: thats not a comparible model
u linked a rotary hammer drill

            https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-18v-brushless-13mm-ham…
this is the comparible one to the deal in this post that superceded it as the current model

  • says $35 on youinstock

    • prices differ depending on each store

im not fluffing about over 15$ after saving $50

      • just reporting what I saw. Hadn't touched a store yet

        • no im saying even that website shows the same thing if u click the individual stores pricing button

          • +1

@furythree: that's not what you said at all

            • @parad0x:

prices differ depending on each store

it assumes you know how the youinstock website works in order to check individual store prices

              • @furythree: What on earth are you trying to justify now?

                • @parad0x: you said "thats not what you said at all"

what exactly were u referring to?

i replied assuming u were referring to me saying:

the prices differ on each store

so i elaborated to show u how u get the different prices

the youinstore main page i linked says $35. but if u bothered to read the original ozbargain post i also linked the comments tell you the prices differ between stores. u can see it in this posts comments down below too. some people are scanning 35 or 50.

i elaborated further by saying if you check the individual stores on the youinstock website. it will tell u this info ahead of time

for example. if u filtered by Castle hill and clicked the 3 dots. and clicked store price, it will show a different price to $35

so im not "justifying" anything. Just giving you an explanaition why youre seeing $35, but it may be $45 or $50 elsewhere

is this still confusing for you now?

  • Thanks OP. Bought one

    • did you buy in store. Can I ask which one. Many Thanks

Thanks OP for sharing the deal. And thank you Buy Swap Sell for posting the receipt as it was your receipt helped me convince the manager at Geelong North store to sell them to me for $35 each. BTW they had more than 5 left.

          So sharing my receipt:

          • @Agile: What's there drill rpm speed do you know?

            • +1

@parad0x: Says on the side label -

              n0:
              0-500/0-2,000/min.

              Impact rate:
              0-8,000/0-32,000/min.

  • Bunnings Tarneit has 2 in stock

  • I wonder if this will drive the winch to pull my boat out of the water like my 18V 110nm brushless Bosch does?

    • At 60nm, I'd say you better go fetch your boat. Personally I'd be more inclined to used an impact driver for such a task

  • Thanks OP!
I happened to be at Browns Plains today and can confirm they had 11, but now they have…10.

    • wow thats quite a few units

was the price $50 or less?

  • $49.75.
I gave it a whirl last night. Quite powerful!

  • I got one for $49.75 at Rothwell Brisbane.today
Was 17 in stock there, but now there is 16
They are right out the front of the store in a big ozito display
