not that great….again. Have seen much better from Jetstar. Noticed no sale fares for the early flights from Sydney to Bali and back….ok if you want the ones that get you there in the night, so at the hotel around 9.30-10pm or come back in the middle of the night to arrive first thing in the morning….the ones coming back then are torture these days due to the Neo planes (have been on two of those from Bali)….we will never take the red eye back on one of the Neos again. They should never have taken the Dreamliner off that route. Even the Fiji sale fares are average. I got a better deal with Qantas last year, and that included bags, seats and food etc and better flight times. This is the first time (apart from during Covid years) that I have not bought a Jetstar fare during the Birthday sales and that is right from the first time they did it.

Haven't experienced it first hand, but I agree with you that these flights would be torture on a A320 Neo. Single aisle planes (especially their new fleet with no adjustable headrests) are never suitable for flights over 4 hours.
Comfort is a really big trade off here, but for some where price really is the only deciding factor, these flights will probably sell out.

I've no doubt they will. But we are just not ever going to do those overnights again. It just isn't worth it for us. We also prefer the early flight in the day going over as it gives the whole day there then. Esp if staying in a club type room and also pricy place…waste of money for the first night

Agreed I just did the Perth to Phuket on the neo the seats are so thin and firm it was the worst flight I’ve ever had, I could deal with a 3hr flight but 7 is just insane, also a few people in the baggage claim area also mentioned sore backs and stiff

      • I can put up with the day flights on it, it is the overnight that is just intolerable cruelty. The flight, if on time, is only about 5.5 or 6 hours to Sydney, but the fact that I am so uncomfortable and can't sleep at all, is very annoying…nowhere to rest your head to sleep as no headrests on the seats, plus the seats were obviously designed by a masochist. They just are not the right shape for the human body lol. If the sale included the very early flight over and the midday flight coming back, I would have booked them…we are even happy to pay for an extra night of accommodation for that midday flight….so pay for 8 nights instead of 7.

  • Theres some bargains this time unlike their return for free flights a few days ago.

    • Wasn't the free return better value than this?

      • if you wanted the dates and destinations they had the $0 return flight and if you could get the few seats available.

    • Which ones where you able to find? I couldnt find any

      • I got Perth to Singapore return for $159, Feb 24th to 28th.

Nothing much attractive compare to last year B'day sale.

exactly. This is one of their worst birthday sales, ever.
