Been buying these for my puppy, are these very similar?

    • Not sure about puppies but I've used both to clean my shaft. The BigW one is bit more moisturizing compared to the ones OP provided.

These are too small to clean my shaft, big enough for my puppy though

    • I find the Woolies ones to be the most cost-effective whilst still being good. The Kmart/BigW ones aren't quite moist enough to wipe dirt off dogs effectively.

Last week Woolworths had the single packs for $4 and rewards points offer of 640points per pack… (Not sure if that was a personalised offer or for everyone?)

Either way I stocked up on a "few" figured $0.80/pack is pretty cheap for these wipes.

    • should've posted

  • great deal! my newborn used these but eventually we moved to dymples $8 for 8 pack :D tried huggies, curash and dymples and the baby didn't care

  • How do these compare to the cheap Woolworths/Coles/Big W/Kmart wipes? We're pretty happy with Anko - comes with a proper lid and generally only one wipe comes out at a time (Coles CUB wipes tended to stick together when we tried them).

This is a better deal isn't it? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/904347
    Both are water wipes.

This product doesn't include phenoxyethanol, which makes it safer.

  • check expiry date if stocking up

Do they get dried out when expired?

    • Why don't you just dip it in water and it's good again? It's 99.9% water….

I don't get why 99.9% water wipes is a selling point.

Just dip your TP in the toilet water before wiping for the same effect. It doesn't contain any alcohol so if you keep it in the toilet it's probably going to be a great bacterial breeding ground in the packet.

I don't get why 99.9% water wipes is a selling point.

Two ingredients is the selling point. There's no Caprylyl Glycol, no Propylene Glycol, no Sodium Benzoate, etc etc.

If we had same regulations as Europe, these would be the only ones without "Contains plastic" label.

    • nope they don't dry out if you seal them properly. These are the best water wipes we have ever used.

  • These wipes have a greater chance of harbouring and breeding bacteria compared to others on the market.

Every time you take one from the pack, if you touch the next wipe then close that back into the pack then you're giving germs a fantastic damp and dark place to breed.

If you're able to keep your hands completely germ free when touching the pack and the lid then go for it, but from my experience when using them with a baby you'll pull 3 or 4 of these out and transfer all sorts of bacteria into the packet and remaining wipes.

This much is true for all wipes, however other wipes recognise this and have preservatives to slow the growth of bacteria.

The perceived benefit of these wipes, being 99.9% water, means there is nothing to slow the growth of bacteria.

It should also be noted that waterwipes do now include a "trace amounts" of preservative, benzalkonium chloride, which is an irritant. Is it enough to slow or stop bacteria breeding? I don't know.

Seems like you can't have it both ways - either you put in a preservative and have less bacteria or you don't and deal with that instead.

    • Take 3 or 4 or 6 or however many you need and do the business. That's how we've done it.

It should also be noted that waterwipes do now include a "trace amounts" of preservative, benzalkonium chloride, which is an irritant.

That's unwelcome news if true. Do you have the source? I've just checked their website and they are still marketed as having 2 ingredients only.

      • It's denoted sneakily on the pack ingredients list with an asterisk

  • Rrp of $56 is a joke

  • Are these good for wiping your butt? Asking for a mate….
