Thanks mate :)
Good deal, these hardly go on sale. Lucky enough to get one for $1800 when they launched.
Using the C4 42" as a monitor has been a game changer for me. Now that I’m used to the 42", I’m seriously tempted to upgrade to the 48"
I just got a 32" IPS and I've now realised I would like a 42" C4 instead. You're telling me I'm then gonna want the 48"? 😂
Can I ask how deep is your desk from monitor?
monitor to edge of my desk is 450 and i sit about 600-700 away. really shallow for what im running
I was looking at both a the recommendations I could find online were the 42 was better as a monitor due to pixel density.
text on older apps can annoy me sometimes but the rest makes up for it. i dont really game just use it for work.
Stop getting me excited, keep thinking there's a deal on the 65 haha
Would love to use it as a monitor
Seems like there is deflation in tech
Super tempted but i am waiting to see what people report back regarding screen burn in after 5 years. Still not sold that it will be flawless after heavy usage as a pc monitor or just static screen for hours at a time after many years.
Went with a 55C7K TCL instead because of this but yeah the LG C4 OLED looks so nice up close in person.
It has made my 2015 40 inch 4k Crossover pc monitor look very dim in comparison though but not that much but definitely noticeable so the nits do matter.
Only used the 55C7K for a day but I think for my pc monitor bed room usage I honestly could have gotten away with a C655 or C755 but not complaining because it's nice to treat yourself to these things once in awhile.. Plus I'll be looking at it for at least 10 years most likely so all good.
1800 hours my search bar and tabs were burnt in last time i checked.
As far as my experience goes, it's just really dependent on your brightness. My 2017 LG C7 did 3k+ hours as a PC monitor in a dim room at night and while you can see the start menu icon burn in with a pure red test screen, it's unnoticeable in normal use.
These newer TVs surely would last even better.
Bro, I've had the c1 since launch and nada
Chill out and fork out the cash, it's worth it
I am looking at the C4 though no intention to get the C1
and too many accounts of screen burn in and i am one of those people who might leave my pc on afk while i am not at home so im a pretty worst case scenario
it is still negligible but enough to be noticeable and annoying after 3-4 years personally
You can set your PC to turn off the screen after inactivity though - unless you leave it running games etc I guess.
For students, you can get this for $1,529 on LG website. Can even stack the $50 welcome coupon if you're new. Not a super annoying verification, just email.
its 1588 at jb and they have a $30 coupon in perks currently until the 15th I believe?
and the C5 is expected to drop price around july unless google lies to me
