Bought one last week, so far it is ok, mopping does leave some steaks as no rotating pads, not too noisy, mapping seems good and doesn’t crash into stuff. Does a good job of hard floors - no carpet here. Trying out the 2nd floor today with multi floor mapping- seems ok. Zone cleaning works ok.
A bit early for me to comment on longevity.

I went the Mova also. Seems like a few positive reviews and under $500 it's worth a shot

Yes we do in rooms and a muscle mat in the living. Really good on all and we use 3 out of 4 strength most of the time.
We're not inspecting the carpet with a magnifying glass afterwards, but also haven't pulled out the vac since we've had the dreame.
does your dog have long hair ? My sheltie and xiaomi arent a good combo the brush jams easily.

It's like 8cm long roughly. It's wirey as he's a wolfhound cross too.
Short haired dog and long haired daughter here, it looks easy to pull apart and clean, today i pulled my daughters USB cable out of the main paddle, took about 2 mins to strip, clean, reassemble.
Multi floor mapping is interesting as the base station is on one floor while it cleans another so i ended up emptying the sump after pulling out the cable as it was chockers. Overall impressed with the vacuuming 8/10 & 7/10 for mopping but it has adjustments i haven't tweaked yet.
Docking station sounds like a 747 on takeoff when it empties the sump into the dock but it only lasts a minute or so.
Today it cleaned approx 70 sqm top floor at 7am and top floor and similar size ground floor about 3 hours later and finished on 40% battery.
Seems pretty good so far.
Yeah it's not even a minute, closer to 30s if that. And the emptying intensity can be changed.
Haven't found an intensity setting but frequency of emptying is adjustable.
4 cats here - Does a much better job with the brush head for xiaomi/dreame, however just found you can get a cutting brush which i suspect will work much better.
Best thing I have ever bought by the way haven't vacuumed or mopped in 3 months.

How's the obstacle avoidance in this? With a kid, it's impossible to not have random things lying around.
Do these cheaper vacuums have to ability to avoid using just their lidar sensor? Or do I need a higher priced one with RGB camera?
