    "WELCOME10" for another 10% off .

Does anyone know if it's worth getting any of the accessories that it suggests at checkout ?

  • Thanks OP! Late delivery, but a good Mother’s Day present.

  • Is this good at blending acai?

    • It should be fine. A 600w blender can make acai, but the more powerful the better. I'd be more concerned about the feedback from others about part quality. Blades lasting 6 months seems pretty terrible. Maybe at this price it's not such a bad deal even with knowing the blades fail regularly.

I have one of these that I bought for retail (not very ozbargain of me) Absolutely zero regrets. Use it twice a day. Great for smoothie bowls. If you're on the fence grab it especially at this price.

  • thank you OP, used the welcome10, but forgot to use cashback, bah! Great deal, just what I was looking for.

edit: looks like all 3 cashback providers don't have WELCOME10 listed as a voucher/code, so may not track anyway.

Grabbed it with WELCOME10 code. Thanks OP and troyww!

If anyone finds replacement cups, lids and blades let me know please, can't find anything specific to model cb150.

  • Is 1 litre jug way too small?

    • +6

Depends what you want to use it for.

If it's for 44 carrots, then I would say it is too small.

Would appreciate a comparison between this one vs Nutribullet 1200, or if it's better to buy a more expensive Vitamix instead.

    • +1

I wouldn't buy another Ninja product. The blades failed repeatedly and the company that handies the spare parts (Mann & Noble) try and say that you should have to buy new blades regularly, i.e. they often only last 6 to 12 months and you're out of pocket each time:

"The Blade assembly is a consumable part that is not covered under the manufacturer's warranty."

Substandard design and I can't imagine they would ever fix the flaws as they keep selling the soon to fail parts. I've never had to replace a single blade in any other kitchen appliance from any other brand in my entire life and I actually look after my things really well. My $20 or $40 Kambrook cheapie has outlasted multiple ninjas and blades.

      • The blade on my last ninja blender bought from here lasted until last year. Then i sold it on fb marketplace for ~ $60.

Now upgrading to this one for approx $20 extra after code and cashback

Unethical company. Last deal they cancelled.

I contacted them to delete my details from their systems including marketing. Which they confirmed.
Still receiving emails from them. Have contacted two more times and same answer that they have deleted data. But to no avail. Still getting emails.

I have lodged complaint with ACCC. Will be raising with Privacy commissioner once completed 30 days.

👏 Well done! We need more people like you who value their privacy and at least attempt to hold those who flagrantly violate it to account.

First time I have enjoyed a deal and found a negative warranted. I would be extremely annoyed in that situation.

It's sad to say, but as someone working in the software engineering industry, I’ve seen firsthand that our data rarely gets permanently deleted from company databases. In most cases, emails and messages may simply be turned off, and at best, our profiles are only "soft deleted" from their CRMs.
Companies routinely ask engineers not to write a code that permanently removes data from the database. Who knows what happens to that data afterward! It could be sold to other companies for marketing purposes, exposed in a breach, or repurposed in ways we never intended.

    • Deleting data is different for unsubscribing from marketing emails. At the bottom of marketing email, you will find a unsubscribe link, click it and your good to go

Can guarantee that is the reply you will get from ACCC and privacy comission

Whilst we dont have GDPR over here (we def lag behind) requesting the 'right to be forgotten' is common practice for software companies to abide by in Europe/UK. Hopefully our privacy policies get updated soon to match.

        • They won't unless people demand it and let their Labor representatives in parliament know that's what we want.

Great job! I hope you can post the result.

Encouraging everybody to check out and support this website and install the browser add-on - turns the terms of service ‘legalese’ into language anybody can understand.

      https://tosdr.org/en

"I have read and agree to the Terms" is the biggest lie on the web. Together, we can fix that.

    • can't you do a simple unsubscribe or block?

      • +8

Nope. The whole idea is to make them responsible and accountable.
They wasted my (and millions of others 😂) time. So it’s time for them to act little accountable. Hence that request. And I really mean it.

        • -1

They are responsible. They did their due diligence by providing a unsubscribe link. Thats what ACCC would ask you if they were to call you

          • +3

@easternculture: So you offer 1 dollar deal which is unobtainable and get customers details. Cancel the deal and do whatever you want with their data. Not fair.
Will see what ACCC says. I will also raise with Privacy Commissioner as they have been using my details against my will.

              • +7

@easternculture: Genuine error is fine. Happens.

They cancelled the deal, so I wanted my data to be deleted from their systems. Which they have failed to, even after having confirmed that have done so. Don't you think this is unethical and problem? My concern is about this not the deal.

Else, any tom dick and harry can post a deal and get customer data. Sell in black market and things would just be fine. Yeah?

    • This is the kind of what some might call "pettiness" justice that I can get behind

  • +2

Unethical company. I am happy to spend more with others on principle.

    Cashback tracked at approx $8

Not too bad for $80 since i sold my 10 year old smoothie blender for $60 on fb marketplace last year.

Now to find a good source of peanuts to make ny own PB. Not paying $5 for 300g anymore

  • +2

Trying to find one with a glass jug. Sick of all these plastic jugs. Any suggestions?

    • +3

Plenty of blenders use glass jugs. My kenwood and Baccarat Blast blenders have glass jugs. Just google glass jug blender.

    • Just wondering why the issue with plastic?

  • The sneaky company. I’d rather not.

  • Will this blend ice ?

  • Can this is or any other blender do dry items

  • Why isn't this sold by any store? Would have liked to just try a price match but no one sells them

  • TGG have Ninja branded stuff. If they don't have this particular model, I'd be worried. Perhaps too unreliable for the retailer to want to handle returns and complaints?

    • +1

Or online store has exclusivity for this blender

  • Recieved today. Solid blender, heavy compared to other blenders ive used. Blades seem solid

    • Plastic jar ?

      • +1

Plastic buy solid /thicker compared to my previous ninja

    • Yep. With the one here you can make your fav nut butter or breakfast bowl.

Going to buy some cashews, almonds and peanuts to experiment

      • +1

ah ok I will buy this one then.

  • +2

Received yesterday and made a smoothie this morning, This machine rocks and does the job!!!

    • Its more handy than i thought.
Bargain for approx $83 after CB

  • It's good for the price, but my ears are still ringing after giving it a try (ran it for about 10s).
