TLDR
TO GET THIS PRICE:
- Use the Samsung Shop app to get 5% off
- Log into the EDU store (you must be eligible)
- Add the phone and Buds3 to your cart
- Add a trade in item eg galaxy watch 4
- Apply the BEYONDSLIM voucher code at the checkout

Edit: I got an email from Samsung today with the subject "The new Galaxy S25 Edge: Slimmest yet" which contained a unique (?) voucher code for an additional $200 trade in bonus (so $400 trade in bonus in total). It works in the edu store bringing the total for the 256gb version to $1015.74. the code starts with PSL and ends with RBMB:

PSL-XXXX-XXXX-RBMB

Can anyone confirm if this code is unique or not?

There's also a voucher code for $200 of free accessories: BEYONDSLIM

I don't quite understand why, but when I add Galaxy Buds 3 and the BEYONDSLIM code to the order along with the targeted code the total comes down to $996.17. Screenshots here.

You may be able to do the cancel items trick after you place your order to get the cost of your (free) accessories back. I haven't tried it.

Original post:

Note that you need an eligible trade in device to get the $200 trade in bonus. I'd recommend going with the least value device you have eg a Samsung Watch 4 ($10 trade in value) as the trade in process can be questionable at times.

You need to use the Samsung Shop App to get 5% off. I've bought lots of stuff from there but the 5% discount still applies.

You need a .edu.au email address to register for the Samsung EDU store.(samsung.com) No, I don't believe there is any easy way to get a .edu.au email address if you don't have one. Most school/uni students would have one, though. I assume the same prices are available in the other portals. The price in the title is with a $10 trade in device eg Galaxy Watch 4.

If you have questions about the trade in process including not sending in devices, non return fees etc, check the recent S10FE thread for discussion/info.

      • Right. Thanks for that. I have all of that but getting over $1,918.40. I must not be getting the edu discount. Will check on the laptop.

        • You need to be using the Samsung Shop app to get the best price.

          • @wombat81: Funny enough my shop app is showing $1918.40 but when I log into online version, I get the price down to $1,186!!

          • @wombat81: Thanks OP!

My Shop app was still showing the other higher price. However, online I managed to stack PSL Code, BEYONDSLIM and eVoucher+ to get the 256gb Galaxy edge and Buds Fe for $939.17. I also spent $19 on the Voucher so the total came to $958.17 with an old S8 for $10 trade-in.

The eVoucher+ took a long time to come thus the delay.

Random - you could Try adding this spare code ive been given, I'm not sure if it will work in the edu store. Ive forgotten what it was, maybe free buds or $100 accessories.

          Voucher Code: PSS-K1B5-WH26-7B5H

@McBargaining: I got both PSL & PSS code (on different email), the PSL is better, as it gives $200 off and stack with BEYONDSLIM too.
That PSS only gives free buds, and if you want to use BEYONDSLIM, you still need to add another $100 of accessories (BEYONDSLIM only works if there's $100+ accesories, since the PSS made it free, it's no longer qualified if it make sense)

          • @McBargaining: Thanks for the help earlier. I was finally able to stack the codes that I had (as mentioned in my comment above).

@RandomDealHunter: Im Glad I could help you, turned out to be good value for most of us on here. I saved $450 over an s25+ i nearly bought a few weeks before. Stoked i waited.

              • @McBargaining: Cheers. For me, I was going to buy a S24 (exynos) for circa $750 - the current ongoing pricing as a companion to my Fold5 which I cannot take in the rain or to the beach etc. This feels slightly better proposition at say $100 more when you consider buds FE for $100 or so. FE can be a future gift for someone.

  • Anyone's order status changed yet? Mine still says 'awaiting dispatch'.

    • Ive just received shipping details via Aus Post - startrack with eta 27th May. But my order details remain - awaiting dispatch.
      I got the black Titanium.

  • Good deal. Managed to get it for $935 including 256GB Galaxy Edge in Titanium Jetblack, silicone case & 65w power adaptor trio.

Only traded in an iPhone 8 with light screen damage for $1 too, so pretty damn good deal! Won't actually send it though so I guess add $60 non return fee onto the above.

    Still, happy AF with that

    • Hi, can you please help how you did that?

I dont have edu account but have access to samsung portal via unidays. Is this something above will work based on coupon you used?

  • Oh mine shipped today.
    ETA tomorrow.
Gave two tracking IDs though. Assuming for ear buds and phone seperately.

  • Got mine yesterday.

    First impressions -

Without being ungrateful, it is okay at best.

Heat and Battery: on the boot up it heats up quite a bit. Also, battery went from 97% to 90% while doing just the basic setup. Battery and heat may become an issue in 6 to 12 months especially during summer.

Feels 'Special'? - Personally, I held my old Note10+ and iPhone 13 pro max and both feel more 'special' than s25 Edge without the case. Note 10+ feels almost similar weight due to size and weight and does not have the huge camera bump. Iphone 13 PM feels a lot heavier but more solid and better built.

Took some quick photos and it is on par with my iPhone 13 PM and Fold5. Digital zoom is limited to 10x but 10x photo is usable. Would be better with a telephoto camera. Not a S25 Ultra replacement.

For a $850 phone with discounts and excluding accessories etc., it is an okay phone. I paid $939 with Buds Fe and S8 trade in. At marketed $1.8K, it is not worth it.

    Keen to hear from others.

    • The heating up thing and battery drain is very normal for the initial setup of a Samsung phone. It shouldn't keep happening now that your setup is done though.

      • Even in normal use (camera, chrome etc.), it gets hot. Unlike experienced with any other recent flagship that I have used. Reminds me of my Pixel 6a. I am genuinely concerned about 40C hot days in summer.

        • That is interesting. Give it a week to do the battery learning process and let us know how it's going. It's not ideal if it's going to run warm all the time.
