These seem like good prices for Samsung's newest mid range tablets. Note that you need an eligible trade in device to get the $250 trade in bonus. I'd recommend going with the least value device you have eg a Samsung Watch 4 ($10 trade in value) as the trade in process can be questionable at times. I had an old iPad laying around.

You need to use the Samsung Shop App to get 5% off. I've bought lots of stuff from there but the 5% discount still applies. Screenshot of cart from Samsung Shop App

You need a .edu.au email address to register for the Samsung EDU store. No, I don't believe there is any easy way to get a .edu.au email address if you don't have one. Most school/uni students would have one, though. I assume the same prices are available in the other portals. The below prices are with a $10 trade in device eg Galaxy Watch 4.

      Don't know. You need to enter a valid serial number, so you need a real device. You'd obviously be charged the trade in value and, from memory, an admin fee.

    I compared it to Westpac Rewards EPP with a $10 tradein for a31, total for 128 wifi is $419.20 (from $849) before the other app discounts.

    On checkout it says: $250 bonus + Trade-In device value has been applied. Ends 01 May.

      I believe that's correct. It does do DEX, I believe, but only on it's own screen, AFAIK, which kind of defeats the purpose. Will test when mine arrives.

      If you want to go with a tablet as a laptop replacement, you're probably better off looking at the Tab S10 and Ultra models. I believe they have DEX via an external display, like the S24 and S25 phones do.

        Naaah, sometimes I trade in but this time I have run out of stuff to trade in. It's probably going to be the third time in 2 years I have not sent something in that's a $10 item and they've never tried to claim the $60 and it's never affected my credit file.

        I get a copy of my credit file every month and there is nothing from Samsung on it whatsoever

        They did claim $60 once past year from one of my other accounts but I sold the tab s9 I traded for $300 more than they were offering me. That was just me acting really quickly on a cheap deal and forgetting to use my
        other bank account at the time

        So avoiding it is correct

      283 is what the tab showed last year but to get that price there were mandatory accessories to be added with additional targetting trade in coupon. This year's deal is much simpler and upfront.

      It's an Exynos 1580 but apparently performance and battery life are pretty good. You obviously won't be playing pubg at full graphics though.

              @jakjak: No they never have in the past and it's a very commonly done thing. People have been doing this for years. At least back to the Galaxy s21 phone release. They will obviously charge you the value of your trade in device, though, and a $60 fee.

              They don't always charge the fee, but expect that they will.

    Samsung has livestream tonight at 6pm and give a Code LIVE10FE to making 5% off discount to use purchase from Samsung regular online store.
    So, bundle with $250 trade-in bonus, $100 royalty customer voucher, free double storage upgrade, 5% off livestream code, 10% off discount purchase via the Samsung Shop App.
    I think this deal is better than purchasing from education store (even I have edu store account).

      If you looking for 256GB/12GB then using regular Samsung shop app to making order is cheaper, doesn’t matter 5G or Wi-Fi only model. If you just want 128GB/8GB one, then education shop is cheaper option.

      should have kept 128GB S9 FE however, got that one for quite a bit less: paid $262 in Oct '23 and that included Buds FE, smart book cover, and a smart tag. but I think that was a one off deal and they realised they gave too many discount codes to ppl
