    Is the minimum age 18?

    Cheaper than child support

Not if you get prostate cancer

        Interesting!
        Still cheaper than child support

        • +2

One time payment of approx $377.20 compared to average monthly child support (based on income of 100k) of approx $190.

    • Only for shit parents that ditch their kids on their ex.

      • I don’t think it’s ever that clear-cut

    • +1

      DIY is cheaper

  • Definitely keeping this open for the comments - will check back :)

What do you use to make the small incision, a screwdriver?

    • +4

Dr just walks in wearing this

      • +2

        That is a WONDERFUL non-explanation.

You say it's "scalpel free" but then talk about a "bladeless mini access 2-4 mm".

How are you cutting flesh open without a blade?

If you're using a "punch" to cut a round hole… That's really just a round blade.

If you're using a needle then that's a frucking big needle.

        • bladeless mini access 2-4 mm

          No.4 drill bit.

        • +1

They go through the pee hole. Jk idk

        • If you read the whole page you’ll have seen there’s a line that says, ”With the help of another special equipment that seals the tissue as it cuts…”. I’m guessing they are using a Diathermy, which is indeed truly ‘bladeless’.

      • I am 12 and I laugh at your prohibition! Hahahaha

    • Hammer

    • Spoon, always a spoon.

    • If not trolling, I'd highly recommend a quick YouTube search

    • From memory, it is 2 needles, one is a camera needle and the other is the instrument needle, cut, cauterize, tie. I am a bit loose on it because I wasn't looking amazingly closely, and it was 11 years ago.

  • +1

A deal I would not expect to see on OzBargain.

    • +5

Not even the first in the last month

      • +3

You could say it came twice

    • +4

Really? Potentially the greatest bargain possible.

    • Yea I assumed most people here are childless not by choice.

    Any special for a reversal?

(profanity) tempting to fly up to QLD from Melbourne for it.

Got one booked in for June 4 here, full rate, so 700 or so minus 280 odd back on Medicare. Paid a hundred deposit but I think that's refundable if cancelled over 48 hours before.

Could get a flight there and back the other day for around a hundred bucks. What's the sitch with these, would I be able to fly later on that day? I imagine so but it's a waste of time and money if the answer is no.

      • +3

I am the world's biggest chicken when it comes to needles, let alone this, so you better believe I'll be taking any and all sedation options lol

But no, thanks for the reply, I'll have a squizz at flights tonight and see how much cheaper it might come out, I'll have to mention this post when I show up lol

      • +2

Lol not even joking, tempted to bring the missus and baby up to go see some of her family for a few days.

You mentioned the Sunshine Coast is the same price below. Is there any availability on 3/4/5 June there by any chance?

If so, we'd fly up on the 2nd and back on the 6th, those are the cheapo Jetstar tickets (95pp, but still, 190x2(plus baby) is 380, add in 210 after Medicare for the procedure and I still come out a hundred ahead with a quick lil holiday chucked in.

  • According to google/finder.com.au

It found that the cost of raising 2 children would likely range from $474,000 to $1,097,000 over the course of their childhood. For 1 child, that's an estimate of $13,166 to $30,472 every year or $237,000 to $548,500 over 18 years.27.11.2024

I was wondering where all my money was going

  • Can you offer the same for Burpengary Office?

  • Bulk Billed Vasectomy Procedure + $295

How about an OzBargain Group buy deal ?

  • My wife would like to get one for her boyfriend, but I am trying to save some money. Is it possible to make anesthesia optional?

    • Sorry, I just read it's all bulk-billed. Question still stands though.

    • My wife would like to get one for her boyfriend

      Alex, is that you?

  • +2

At that price I'm inclined to get a 2nd one to be sure, to be sure.

  • my ex did it for nothing

  • +2

we offer safe procedures performed by experienced hands.

That comes across as creative wording to say these procedures aren't done by doctors/surgeons. I'm assuming people doing this are all doctors?

    • +13

      hi everybody

    • They might not be 'surgeons' but they would be doctors. GP training would be sufficient

    • Maybe sourced from airtaskr

    • Sounds like every "Thai massage" joint that's open late too.

  • +4

Not sure why reading this deal immediately made me think of the catchphrase "Hi everybody !"

  • no deal
    must repopulate the world

    • +2

You still can. But when you're done lowering the average global IQ, then you make sure you stop.

  • Interested in doing this. It’s half the cost of the other clinic in Cairns. OP how long will the promotion run for ?

  • Rest for a few days after procedure otherwise you'll end up with blue balls

  • Do you offer deals including shipping?

  • I'm a vasectomy survivor… I kid you not!

    • It’s important to actually test it a month later to make sure the vasectomy is successful. This is the problem as many people just ignore this and rely on it straight away.

      • +1

Yep. A quick tasting of a fresh load on a clean palette and it's easy to tell if it was successful or not

      • 3 months later is recommended

  • +8

When I got my vasectomy, my wife asked "how soon can we have sex?" The doctor replied, "I've got a couple of more patients to see but after that I should be free!"

    • Thankyou. That's what I came here for (sperm still intact)

  • Thought it said bulk vasectomy

  • I came here for the vasectomy jokes. I have to confess I'm rather disappointed with most of you

  • +3

    They snipped off their prices.

    • +1

They're really hammering their own balls

      • +1

They are dangling the carrot 🥕 with such a bargain

    • +1

      Yeah it’s nuts.

  • +1

A deal so good you'll want to tell your future kids about it

  • I bought 5. Thanks OP

  • Is the procedure reversible? I'm well and truly over having kids but just curious if it is?

  • +3

Had a good chuckle mid-procedure when guy that did mine, Dr Sacco, pointed out the pub outside the clinic was The Shaft Tavern.

    • Dr Sacco?

      • "Newcastle Vasectomy has been providing vasectomies in the Newcastle area for over 20 years, initially with Dr Alan Sacco"

  • They should offer a further discount for men over 70. That would be some low hanging fruit.

  • Line up

  • +1

No scalpel, just a rusty butter knife. Or does they guy just rip into it with his bare hands?

    • +1

A small mallet is used to pulverise the gonad within the scrotum

  • Didn't think to see this as a deal. Most of us are looking for cheap meals. Not a cheap snip 😉

  • These are irrational fears I'm sure.

Firstly, the thought of having anything sharp going down there makes me squirmish.

Secondly, if the tube is severed where does the sperm end up? Similarly, ff the tubes are knotted up, the build up of sperm is a horrifying thought.

    • I don't think having a fear of sharp things near your private parts is irrational. That seems perfectly normal and rational.

  • Anything to cut down on the number of Far North Queenslanders is a win in my book.

    • Cairns just voted in Labor. There's hope
