I bought the AD5M from this deal and couldn't be happier. Really nice one for first time printer.
If you only print PLA and PETG, A1 is enough.
If you can afford P1S and plan to print ABS, TPU, etc, get P1S, as P1S supports AMS 2 pro, you even can buy AMS 2 pro from China send to depot and transfer to aussie, cheaper and region-free.

@Eatoff: Singup and setup depot by using 4px, order from bambulab official store on taobao.com(both taobao and AliExpress owned by alibaba.com) and send to 4px deport in China Mainland, pay postage and ship to Australia.
@qihu wow that’s a big price difference. P1S AMS2 at china prices would be ace, what’s shipping / import costing? Any ideas with warranty if it will be a battle?
Is the AU version region locked or something ?
CN version machine(Machine only, AMS not included) is region locked (like robot cleaner), that's why i't cheap(think about nintendo switch 2 Japan version), not sure if you can init it at first boot overseas).

NO warranty in AU, unless you send back to China mainland.
AU version is global version, you can use it anywhere worldwide, I believe.
Tempting - anything else I should be buying for a 1st timer setup if I was just grabbing the A1 Combo? (Extra plates, filament - or source from 3rd partys)
Hardened 0.4mm nozzle.
if you want, the 0.6mm is useful for larger prints, cuts down on print times.
No need for extra plates and any other accessories.
Get filament from Jayo/Sunlu from this deal - PLA to start with, plenty of variety.

What's the purpose of the Hardened 0.4mm nozzle? Is it better than what it comes with?

On their table at the end of the page, they say it's optional for most materials outside of engineering filaments, but things like wood and glow in the dark usually require hardened nozzle.
You don't need to buy the gear, it already has hardened gear as stock

@impoze: I keep putting this off because it's a little overwhelming.
Thinking I just order the AI Combo and 2 extra spools. A PLA+ and a PLA Marble High Speed.
But then I read about humidity, having to dry things out and just end up like UGH
@lochstar: nah, just print, you're fine. don't really need to worry about drying / humidity etc until you really know what's happening,
i mean, you can if you want, but, I didn't for 6 years!
saying that though, I will get a filament dryer for stuff that's been out in the open for weeks…
but, fresh out of the box, don't worry
@lochstar: A1 Combo is a great choice.
You won't have humidity issues with PLA.
PETG is more susceptible to moisture.

I've been staring at this sale since this was posted now. For the P1S at least, on Ozb, this seems to be the cheapest price but the historical posts on ozb seem to be the standard price now? @___@ so confused…
I'm so torn about which to buy too… I don't really have the space for the A1 (which seems to be the best value buy here) also, I would like the enclosure…

Having come from Ender 3 / Kingroon and other 'basic' printers, I'm darned impressed and happy with my decision
First print was a nice quality benchy,
my next proper print was a multi coloured articulated dragon thingy for my daughter. Took 12 hours, looks perfect, just popped off the plate and is nearly 60cm long!
My main regret - not buying a P1S earlier
another nagging thought i'm having - Maybe I should have considered upgrading to the AMS2 combo, the heating / drying seems to be a good value, zero hassle add on….
alternatives need more boxes!
@bleugh: I thought the AMS2 would save on the dryer space when I would eventually end up needing it.

@hhuy837: I got the creality SpacePi two roll box….it's a bit more expensive than the common Sovol/comgrow one, but much better built inside (two heaters) and better airflow around the filament rather than directly onto it!
cost me $124…so two of them is the same price as the difference in price..
If you have the space, it'll be more flexible at the same price.
but the convenience of leaving PETG in the AMS and drying overnight before a print!
if you're set on the P1S, go for it.
I have the AMS Lite mounted on top of the A1 so it doesn't take up as much space.

If you plan on printing ABS/ASA etc, then you will want the P1S enclosure and add ventilation/filtration
@impoze: The AMS lite on the printer is seriously genius.
I found out the A1 takes ups more space than the P1S because of the bed slinger. I plan to get into ABS once I get the hang of printing but would prefer the enclosure and filtration even with PLA…

Ouch. Anyone else get stung with a large international transaction fee buying this deal from Bambu? Bambu shows the price in Aussie dollars but requests the money from the bank in another currency. Got hit with a AUD 50.41 fee from Citibank!
It's usually mentioned in the deals.
