Do we think that the grocery offer will expire after today?

    • Just place a future dated order if need be

      • I've tried to schedule a delivery date for tomorrow but there is no option to do so.

Anyway, placed an order for today :p

        • +1

Don’t do future, if something is out of stock you get charged full price.

          • @Kolky: Can’t you ask for a refund then?

          • @Kolky: They've always refunded me for things that were not in stock.

  • +13

I don’t seem to have the Stan offer. I have 15% off the iconic and 50% off chicken menu at hungry jacks. It says offers expire on the 23rd. I’d assume they stay there to use until then.

I wonder if the stan offer doesn’t apply to people who have uber one free for 6 months because of Stan? Mine was from that deal.

    • same re. 6 months of Stan.

    • I wonder if the stan offer doesn’t apply to people who have uber one free for 6 months because of Stan? Mine was from that deal.

      Probably

    • Same - don't have Stan offer

    • +2

I have nothing at the moment, maybe it is because it is because of that offer.

    • Same no Stan offer

    • Found the offer but says for NEW Stan users only .

    • I've never had stan, used the 6 months uber one offer from Stan. Still received 3 months stan offer.

  • +1

    For Stan

Sorry, there was an issue loading your content

  • I can't find Stan offer

  • +1

No Stan on my end. $12.50 Hoyts tix, 15% Iconic, $1 Lilo tix.

    • +2

      Are you OK?

      • -3

I am fine. Just ranting how bad Yello is.

  • Can anyone tell me what I need to do specifically to find the Hoyts offer?

    • +1

Are you valid uber one subscriber?

      • Yes.

      • +3

Thanks! Doesn’t require uber one membership to use

      • I wish the $1 popcorn and $1 drink offers apply to other movies as well, not just the Lilo and Stitch. Planning for Mission Impossible movie tomorrow, this would have been a great combo to go with the Origin movies free vouchers last month.

        • +4

Walk out of the movie (say you didnt like it) within 10 min and you will get a free replacement ticket or they will replace the movie for you

          • @easternculture: Didn't know that option exists. Not saying I am going to use it 😀. Also, the Lilo movie is releasing next week, can't wait that long to see the MI movie 😆.

            • +4

@rvsure: Dont forget unlimited free popcorn refills at the candy bar, just gotta leg it back and forth from your seat lol! I had about 4 boxes free when I watched Dune 2 for my birthday.

              • @Skinnerr: No idea about this as well. Do you need the staff to refill for you ?

                • @yht: Yes and only for uber eats members (but you could definitely get away with just a screenshot of someone else's uber eats member page)

              • @Skinnerr: wait i don't understand can uber one members get unlimited popcorn and drinks thought it was jsut the hoyts reward members that pay the $15 or so a year

googled it and looks like you can Link to t&c

                • @Lit Homie: Unlimited popcorn refills (no drinks). You'll have to buy the first one

          • @easternculture: Wow, been awhile not going to cinema. I didn't know that you can do that.

            • @yht: Depends on the cinema staff , but generally they are ok doing that

        • +1

Apparently the $1 popcorn and $1 drink ARE applicable to all movies, as the web page implies. You just have to be logged in to Uber when you follow through the link. The drink and popcorn are added on the next page.

You will see Uber One at the top of the Hoyts page.

    • Can any one please PM me the link? Thanks

  • Lilo tix showing as $6 in the cart for me

    • +1

Sounds like you have chosen an xtremescreen session (green ones), try a different session that is in red.

    • +1

Xtremescreen, DBOX, ONYX, Lounge, 3D and Recliner Surcharges may apply. Booking Fees may apply. Not available for HOYTS Daybeds or HOYTS LUX.

      • Dbox $9 surchage! :o

    • They forgot to include it's $1 only for basic cinemas.
Xtremescreen, DBOX, ONYX, Lounge, 3D and Recliner Surcharges apply to just about every viewing. There's also Booking Fees.

      • +1

For recliners - An online booking fee of $1.70 per ticket will be added to your cost after ticket selection.

      • +1

Still well worth it, 4 tickets + 2 popcorns and drink for $33.80

  • That includes the booking fee

    • +1

Apparently there’s a code to waive the booking fee, but I couldn’t find it

      • +10

It's displayed in the ticket hall apparently so you can get the code after you get there. If someone can swing by a Hoyts cinema today on their way perhaps comment what the code is below that'd be a legend.

        • +6

It's different at every cinema and it changes every X minutes (I think). It's on that session times screen. So you have to be there when you're ready to buy.

      • That code only works on the same day

  • There’s also 50% off chicken items at Hungry Jacks

  • +2

Where do I find the $40 off grocery offer in the app?

    • I clicked on grocery, then there are offers in "save big on groceries"

  • +19

Standard Warning which just hit me, if your order drops below the $100 due to items not being available then the $40 voucher is removed, and you pay full price.

So just had expensive groceries delivered!

    • +5

Idk why people are experiencing this but my recent order was completely fine
Order was initially above $40, and one item couldn’t fulfilled and made the order below $40 (subtotal), and I had a $20 off promo
      https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/399144/121562/img_8609…

      • +3

Yeah same with me. It actually works out better if you get items refunded.

I just did a $104.52 order, it went down to $64.52. There were 2 items unavailable for $14.70, so my total order just went down to $89.82 before discount, $49.82 after discount.

I wonder if you do item exchanges, and the exchanges are cheaper items which brings the total under $100, that causes it?

I always choose refund for everything as they refund the full amount.

        Final subtotal $83.83
        Service Fee $5.99
        Delivery Fee $5.99
        Delivery discount -$5.99
        Promotion -$40.00
        Final total $49.82

        • +1

actually no. same thing happened to me. My order value fell below 100 and the promo got removed from my order. i now have a pending payment on my account. fffss

          • @Phirewall: Did you pay with gift cards or card? Were the unavailable items refunded or exchanged? (Gift cards and refunded here).

Trying to work out what causes different outcomes for different users. I must have done 10-20 uber eats grocery orders via promos with refunds and often goes below the promo amount and never had that issues.

            • @hamza23: paid with GC. had selected for item to be refunded. I've had it previously where the item were not available and the full value was refunded. This is the first time i'm seeing this

        • +1

@hamza23 My order dropped to around $60 with the missing items refunded, I did not ask for replacement for any of them, guessing one option is it depends on how far it drops.

Paid via uber wallet which had $100+ credit in it, so that may also have come into play as they knew I had the balance to cover the removal of the voucher.

Annoying that it seems to be consistently inconsistent across the user base on when it is withdrawn and when it is still applied.

          • @rheags: Thanks for the info. I also had enough gift card balance in my wallet to cover the difference. @ThePeterGriffin how far below $100 did yours drop?

            • +2

@hamza23: @hamza23 Mine dropped to 78. fricking uber support is so slow, tells me gonna take 2 days to respond.

        • I've previously had it work that way where they still apply the promo.

Alas today I placed an order for $101.05 (before Service fee)

$65.42 hold was placed on my card. 1 item out of stock (chose refund instead of replace) and the order is now $94.19 with no promo applied. Now we do the support dance because I've made sure the card I use only has $66 on it. Fun for everyone!

    • This happened to me twice. You have to buy something you may not need while the Uber driver does your shopping to meet the min spend or lose the discount.

    • +1

Just load and pay with a gift card of $70. And have a prepaid card on file with no balance

      • Can you share a "prepaid card with no balance"?

      • Would the gift card balance become negative?
        Does it affect future orders?

    • +1

Haven't had that happen, I'd contact support if it does thats bs.

What I have had happened is the uber drivers buy perishable items on clearance (i.e. Use by today) for some fkn reason. I'd rather have them not buy it at all if that's all that's left.

I'll make a note in the order instructions next time I guess.

    • Also happened to me twice. But i manged to explain the situation to uber support and they were nice enough to credit back my account.

    • +1

This has happened to me a couple of times (although the offer was spend $40, save $20). I messaged UE and they applied $20 credit to my account. I sent them a screenshot of the offer in my email but you could screenshot your original order total just in case.

    • Yea it's forced me to check for stock in the store I want it from before ordering. Sounds silly and over the top, but that's the ozbargain way 😎

      • +2

Done that.. Lol, seems extreme.. and I've even stayed around to help the uber guy pick the stock (esp. if it's a limited, hot sell item).

    • +2

For me it's always been the opposite, any refunded items are deducted from the discounted total. Done at least 10 orders for the same result. I actively seek items that were out of stock before to try and get the refund.

    • Mine didn't even go below $100, substituted 2 items for the same price and they removed my promo. Just paid $101 instead of $61…

I know I will get a refund but completely a waste of time.

    • Same thing happened to me even though my total came above $100. But it was just under $100 before gst. Maybe that’s why. Now I’m waiting for uber support to get back to me. Says it’s going to take 2 days.

      • Update : uber support came back. First they refunded the item and then the 40$. lol almost got the order for free. Win 🥇

        • They put back $40 in uber cash but I’ve asked for it as a refund. Need to wait another day or two.

        • They gave me a credit, but refused to give me a refund. Which is frustrating. It should have been $40 off. But now im forced to use $40 at uber eats only.

  • +1

    Harris farm is good

  • Oh no, petbarn is excluded. Was looking to buy nexgard

    • +1

      it's included.

    • +1

Worked for me, a 6pk of Nexgard Spectra was $72 delivered after the $40 off, that's pretty sharp.

      • it doesn't show up on my app, only Coles, Harris Farm, IGA are showing the discount :(

      • May I know which Petbarn did you choose?

        • It's slightly cheaper to buy it online for me at discount pet care including delivery

        • +1

          Petbarn Kogarah (NSW)

    • has it worked for you? Petbarn doesn't seem to work

  • My grocery one appeared, didn’t work, went back and it was replaced by 30% off alcohol.

  • Has anyone had the 40% off uber rides or any uber discounts? Going off this and other posts made about uber one
"Uber One members will be able to knock 50% off the price of shared rides, 20% off Uber Black and 40% off the Comfort Electric during the Member Days week."

    • I've just got 30% off rides at Uber for now (Comfort, Reserve, Premier, Pool). Think it was $20 cap.

    • My 70% off Uber Pool appeared today.

  • +1

My grocery one does not apply a discount, anyone else?

    • +1

Same with mine. I have a feeling it might be because I’d just used the $20 off $40 spend last week.

      • Same issue with me but for the $20 off $40 promo. I had two eligible promotions "Save $20 when you order over $40" and Save "$40 when you order over $100". I selected the $20 promo. But when the payment was taken, the promo did not apply. The $20 promo has disappeared now from my account. What a bummer! Need to contact UE now :(

  • Is grocery worth it? Looks like all the half price special is at full price.

    • +7

It is good to buy things that are usually full price, anything half price go in store

    • -1

Of course it is not. Not only that, the price of all the products are inflated.
