      Not a taxable event unless you dispose of the BTC by selling or swapping it, hence creating a CGT event. But the $20 worth of BTC is income that you include on your tax return, treated the same as an airdrop.

      Just report everything that you should (which you should be anyway especially due to KYC), and you will be fine. Use Koinly to accurate track all this stuff.

    When you click the referral generator, it just redirects you to https://www.coinjar.com/au/

    There is no referral objects in the web address or any mention on the sign-up page, is that normal or are the referral links dud?

      The same thing happens if you just follow a referral link directly. We will find out by 23/5 if we get the bitcoin but so far I haven’t received the 500 points after completing ID verification

    Customer support wants personal info from referrer such as name / email.
    Do we need to set up a referral message system? Preferably for people who had fully signed up by 19/5 so this promo is valid
