+1 for the Game deal. $11 more than big W, but includes a game and controller.

    Better value me thinks.

i'm curious as to why people are still buying ps2's. We seem to have quite a few ps2 deals on ob

aren't they sorta crappy to play these days? Plus they're all at least $120 which is a lot of money.. and you could save up $200 more and buy an xbox 360 or something

    • Yeah you can buy an xbox 360 from Big W from the 26th for $228, only $89 more.

Most probably wouldn't buy a PS2 now but there's probably some that don't care and want it for either a replacement for their broken one or they just want it to play some old PS2 games they never got to play.

      • I'd buy it for that reason. Never had a PS2, great line up of games (even if it's the last generation of games).

Dumb parents who 'trust' the PlayStation brand I guess. I personally want the PS2 to finally stop selling, as its the only profitable part of the PlayStation line, and I want Sony to crumble. But thats the fanboy in me speaking.

  • I picked up one from Game in Cranbourne, they had no stock, but somebody cancelled, yay.

These are very tiny compared to the original PS2 machines. We had an old one that has been troublesome for quite some time, been repaired twice recently and it wouldn't play DVDs or some game disks. The new machine is better at most of the game disks and plays DVDs fine. The problem game disks are probably to scratched :( — wish the kids looked after them better!
