Terrible gym, when I purchased at $300 per year, it was PACKED even at 11pm.

Can only imagine what it’s like at $150 with no establishment fee

πŸ‘‰ 24-hour access to ALL locations Australia-wide, including group fitness classes.

This is incorrect at certain locations that still haven't finalised the "24/7 access" arrangements and are still closing at ridiculous times. Counter is on for how much longer the fire sale funds/"other funding arrangements" will last.

And that's not to even mention the filthy gyms and questionable clientele these low rate offers attract.

      "questionable clientele".

If you don't like us in your gym then why are you here. Go to Ozexpensive.com.au and whinge there. πŸ˜₯

"Questionable clientele" (nice way to say it) are certainly not people lurking on OzBargain lol, probably lurking on ozdrugs.com.au

    • mate its $150 a year, can you find another gym for that price? This neg is absolutely unjustifieble just for one of its location not able to operate 24/7

      • It's way more than one

I recently signed up to my local on the $188 deal at Windsor Gardens, SA. I use it for a quick lunchtime workout location. It's VERY busy for lunchtime, but I can't say I've been left without equipment that I need for a workout, I'd hate to see what it's like at peak hours though…

Equipment is well used… I've seen cleaners in there around lunchtime, but yeah, compared to other gym chains and boutiques, it's a little more run down.

For $2.87 per week though, it's been a no brainer for me.

      Good summation of the service.

      Additional notes:

      • Chance it will go into administration, however these rumors have been thrown about for a while.
      • Constant membership sales if you have FOMO.
      • As mentioned above, they are not 24/7 despite advertising they are. They switched times on everyone at the start of the year, very unprofessional.
      • they have promised FOB keys and they are no where to be seen.

Other than that. Good for a cheap gym if you're not high maintenance.

      • As mentioned above, they are not 24/7 despite advertising they are. They switched times on everyone at the start of the year, very unprofessional.

        Some locations still are 24/7.

I was worried by most of the comments on previous deal post however for $148 it was a no brainer.

I signed up to braybrook VIC, been 4 times in the past 2 weeks 8pm each time, yeah its busy but its also a huge gym with lots of equipment, i always get a piece of equipment sometimes (rarely) you need to wait 5 mins for someone to complete their set, big deal, have a break. I'd say 80% Asian 20% other races split, people were respectful, no one staring and making you feel uncomfortable and equipment was clean.

For $149 if you don't like the gym once you sign up, it's a minimal loss compared to signing up to direct debit at another gym on weekly fee $20 per week (is what i was paying at Anytime Fitness, derrimut is $2.80 per week.)

Yeah I signed up with that deal for Oakleigh and haven't had a problem. Been great. No complaints. Friendly staff, friendly other-gym-people. Reasonably clean. Never had a problem with parking.

I mostly see people complaining about it a cheap gym when they're expecting a boutique experience. Go pay $1500 a year and you'll get the boutique experience.

      • What time do you go? How is it?… Oakleigh would be my goto but comments always deters me, i would be going around 10am

        • That's when I'm there, been fine.

would you guys say this gym is good for the 'temporarily living in their car' types

just a place to shit shave and shower

    • +1

Depends on location. But id say no. The busy ones stink and have only very few showers and no parking

    • For the cheap price of 149 a year, definitely great. If you're lucky, some of them have a steam room so you can exfoliate. If you're really cheap, there's toilet paper and hand soap and filtered water to fill up your bottle. Just BYO towels and shampoo and you can get a decent clean. If you find a guy in the locker room, you can ask to borrow deodorant. You left yours at home.
