    RTINGS review, awesome gaming monitor

Got this from the last deal, arrived with dead pixels (always make sure you check!) but HP were quick to get a replacement sorted. New one is all good, very happy with this monitor

    • @mangobango Mine has bright green stuck pixels… did you return it via ebay for a refund and have to order another? Or did you contact HP directly and they exchanged it?

      • I contacted HP via WhatsApp and messaged the CS team on there, they sorted it out under a warranty claim and then one of the guys on the eBay store contacted me afterwards as the new one got sent out.

Heads up to check their warranty policy for monitors, they have a minimum of 3 dead pixels to be allowed a warranty claim so cycle through all the colours and make sure you have at least 3.

Great deals - so the eBay price is cheaper and then you get the discount on top.

  • For $50 more sometimes same price as this the R27qe is the better choice

i haven't even unboxed this thing from the last deal yet

    • mine's been in a box for close to a year….

I should really unbox it to see if there's any issues haha.

Thanks, I missed the Dell deal the other day so I've got this one though. Will be a big upgrade from my 75hz monitor I hope (for online gaming) - I'm not too worried about the low contrast ratio as I won't be watching movies or shows on it

FML… just bought Samsung 27" Odyssey G50D QHD Gaming Monitor at $389 last week……

As noted by @OrderedChaos last deal:

Be aware that there are two versions RGB and BGR. The LG panel is RGB (preferred). The BOE panel is BGR. You can't choose. It's the luck of the draw.

I received BOE, as did many others.

    • Is that the same for the 32" variant as well (32q)?

What does this mean and how do you find out which one my monitor is/has?

  • I got this 31.5" curved monitor instead; $287.2 after code. not sure how it compare with the IPS one, but I want to try a curved monitor a long time, it's a good time for me to do so. 🤞🏼

    • Can't decide UW flat or Curved?
      You a gamer?

      • +1

Ultra light gamer here 😂 only play a bit on GTA5 after my kids asleep.

Never try a curved one, so really want to try, I may no like it and sell it on marketplace with very similar price anyway 🤞🏼

    • Good rating on this one roo

      • Higher Hz (180) - Lower Response Rate (0.5ms) but Omen slightly brighter!

  • Got the 32C for $287 delivered (might of been ebay plus discount)

  • It looks like this one has a height adjustable stand - is that right?
Also, does anyone know if they give a tax invoice? (I've sent a msg to them on ebay but awaiting response)

    • +1

Just ordered this and can confirm, it does come with tax invoice.

      • What did it look like? I got an "email invoice" from HP/Ebay which shows the price… but absolutely zero details about the actual item.

mine just arrived! set it up and its a huge upgrade from my 1080p TN panel :D

  • Mine's got a couple of bright green stuck pixels in the middle of the screen. Starting the returns via Ebay shows I need to take the screen to Aust Post to have it returned, and I'll get refunded (then I need to buy another).

I was hoping HP would just send a replacement out and collect the old one… has anyone been through this?

    • +2

Update - HP support denied the request as I didn't have a suitable invoice (did anyone get a proper invoice from ebay? Mine was useless) so I'm just doing the returns process via eBay (sending back, getting refund and buying a replacement screen).

      • Yikes. I would have thought it would be like Dell, who send a Dell invoice even though the monitor was sold through ebay.
